Roads in Arkansas - Texarkana to Memphis??

Can someone tell me if the roads from Texarkana to Memphis through Arkansas are still "as bad as they were" Is there still traffic congestion from Memphis to north of Little Rock? I am leaving DFW to NY this thursday, and would prefer this route to going through St. Louis, Misery.

There's a lot of construction underway to make I-30 smooth. About 1/2 of I-40 is complete and the rest is under construction.



We made good time on I-40 over the weekend. No stoppage.
