Mopar Nationals in W.P.B.!

Oo. I will be there.....

Looking forward to a bunch of Cummins putting the smack down on the Powerstr*kes, and the Duramaxi's!

I hope CFI has their truck there again this year. That thing is just flat out ridiculous, but I like it... :D

I'm getting excited. :D

I'm getting jealous

Unless a miracle takes place I can't get out of work.

Have fun... make sure you report back here some of the times etc for those of us stuck at home.

I'm planning on going. How many of you guys are going to race? I would like to, but I've never had my truck on a track. I don't want to go out there and look like an idiot.

Kevin

No racing for me. I have one of those first gen slugs... pulls good, but not real quick. (runs 17. 9 @ bandimere)

Oh Kat, and as far as not making it on Sunday because you have to work- unless a miracle happens... My brother couldn't make it either until he got laid off yesterday. I am hoping that is not the kind of miracle you are looking for. One of these days when I get back to Omaha I would like to hook up with you and take a look at your truck Kat.

See you all there!

Anybody know if Piers is gonna be there?

Any Wyoming guys coming down?

Great show today... Oo.

The ATS trucks were out in force just as I suspected they would be. I did not stay till the end, but I saw one of em run a 12. 89:--) (cummins fo course) The little Duramax they had out there ran pretty good too - in the 13's with a kickass launch.

Very cool

BD Power had the fastest truck out there. Ran in the 12's on drugs. ATS trucks put on a good show. The Duramax truck they had kicked butt. The Dodge's take everything overall. Was a great time. I'm trying to get a hold of overall information through ATS. I figured that since they sponsered the diesel truck class they could get that information. I'll let you know if I can get it.

BD ran a 12. 88 on slicks before they vapor locked in front of me at the light on the first round. I was sorry to see them out of the compitetion.

Mike from ATS ran a 12. 89 with a single turbo.

Don Ramer from ATS ran a 13. 88@104 mph.

Clint Cannon(ATS) with the Duramax ran 13. 6

Craig Monroe ran a 13. 9 with a 5 speed. <- Talk about stomp shifting!

My best was a 15. 35.

These times are all from memory so I could be off a little.

Anyone know what Mike Carry (SP?) did? Rumor had it that his truck was supposed to be pretty juiced up.

I talked with Jordan Kloppe and was bummed to hear that he didn't make it... I know he was hoping to beat his previous times.

Fun in the Sun!

Hey Guys,

We had a blast. I took my work tools out and put my 16 year old daughter in the drivers seat for the first time ever at a drag strip for her and she turned in a 16. 032 at 83+ mph for her best time. WAS I EVER PROUD.

We had a lot of fun and this event, it will be a keeper for us. It was cool to see so many trucks running so good. I don't think I saw anybody break anything.

LaserBob

I had a great time. I raced in the Diesel class was was certainly impressed with the speed. I was underwhelmed with my performance (16. 5@83) and lost in the first round due mainly to stupidity - I had the transmission in 2nd instead of drive, which really hurts about half way down the track. Anyway, I thought I would run faster with DD2s and a COMP.

Too bad I didn't run into more people from the TDR. Bob Berends was the only guy I spotted. I tried to find Jim Deeming, but never found his travel trailer.

Kevin

Kevin, sorry you and a lot of other people didn't find us. We got parked way down at the finish line.

Stakeman, I must have been right behind you when the BD truck died - I was entering the tunnel right then and there were one or two trucks between me and him.

I was happy with my day but redlighted on the first elimination round - DOH!

Best run was 14. 7 at 90mph.

Worst run of the day was launching a time trial run at 20 psi of boost but forgetting to put it in 4x4. Boiled the right rear tire but as luck would have it, that's the run the picture lady shot and it makes a great burnout photo.

Here's a tip - point those exhaust pipes BACK as much as you can - especially if you start spooling your turbo before you stage. I redlighted my first elimination round because the smoke rolled in and staged me before my tires were in the beams, so I stopped. Then the smoke cleared before my tree started and my tires weren't there, so the red light came on. Boy did that hurt!

Then, a few trucks behind me, my friend in his Ford had a different smoke problem. The smoke obscured the beams when he left the line for about a second and a half, so he broke out, even though he beat the other truck. He was on the brakes HARD and went through the traps at only 55 mph, but still broke out. The wind was not in our favor...

But it was a fun day. Wish I could have seen or recognized more of you.

I got to see most of you run. I was impressed with the diesels. Last year the gassers had it. Not this time around. Maybe the RMTDR will have a booth there next year.

Big A
