I've had mine on for about 55k now... nothing detrimental to date.

I thought it was causing more "valve noise", but it turns out my valves were loose... adjusting the lash brought back the nice quiet truck!

I did see a slight increase in mileage from the RokkTeck... maybe 0. 5 to 1 mpg... hard to tell with smaller mpg increases...

Nighbors 05 auto showed more zip low down rpm and mileage increase from the get go then my 03. His is a auto and mines a 6 speed. I drive a little more in the throttle then him. His also had a little more rattle then mine which I don't think he ever noticed(I did)His has over 50k on it with the Rokktech. I only have about 5k.

rokktech sensor

I have the sensor on my 05,The main reason i installed it was to increase fuel miles. Now I am always checking fuel miles and I did not notice any change i still get 10 mpg towing 13,000 5th. Got 10 when the truck was new. hand cal. I even added the tag and proguard 7 air filter and amsoil all around still 10 I think someone i full of it or their feet stink.

my 05 started off getting about 17 mph going 65. Now at 50,000 miles in get 21 going 65 with rockteck sensor and pro guard 7 stage II air filter. I think the sensor makes the biggest difference under a light load.

I thought I would revive this thread since I am considering a sensor myself. Anybody have any updates for us on the use of the Rokktech sensor? How about any new info if any has come out in the past couple of months?

I have over 75k on mine to date with no ill effects...

I put mine on at about 35 or 40K. I've got over 84K now with no problems.

For me, this has been a truly install-and-forget modification. I think I picked up 1 to 1. 5 MPG on the highway.

Thanks for the response guys... anyone else out there care to comment on their experience with the Rokktech and any longevity issues?

I have about 15 K on mine and runs great. Is the crank sensor a warranty issue item even if I change to stock one before taking to dealer?

I have 178,000 on my 04, had the sensor on sinse about 100,000 mi. no problems that I can see. And like Pawpaw, I also picked up somewhere around 1to 2 mpg. with it.

I have had mine on for about 15K and no problems yet. I never really noticed any increase in MPG but it did seem a little peppier in the low end.

The sensor is a stock sensor. It has been modified to allow it to swing to a more forward position. For a while when they ran out of sensors you could send a stock sensor to them for modification. I noticed the same as many have said, a little more response at low end. I pull a 12000 lb. fifth wheel and think I get a little better response during tow. I also notice it sounds (rattle) more like my 2nd gen did at idle. I use a biodiesel blend and due to the the slightly lower btu rating of the fuel it is recommended to increase the timing a little bit. The modified sensor would do this. I'd recommend it.

I have had my Rokktech installed for more than 20K miles and I thought I saw the same results as several others; a little more responsive at low end and about 1. 5 mpg increase. I went from about 16. 5 mpg to 18 mpg average.

Lately I have noticed a little more "timing rattle" when starting off or accelerating lightly, especially when pulling my fifth wheel, so I removed it to see what happened. I expected to see a slight lack of performance and an increase in mpg but I was surprised at what I noticed.

Immediately I noticed that the rattle was gone, which I expected, but I did not notice any decrease in responsiveness. It actually seems smoother under acceleration now, and the overhead fuel mileage display went from 18 mpg to over 20 mpg. I really have not put a lot of mileage on it since removing the Rokktech but I plan to monitor the mileage closely and hand calculate it to see what gives. The Rokktech was still tightly mounted and had not moved any before I removed it. I am not sure what to think. Just wiondering if anyone had a similar experience?
