Well at 9:30 last night I was driving Back from Saskatchewan and was 6 miles from home when bam. A little white plastic car hit the back of my fully loaded truck and pushed it sideways. Over I went. Luckily no one was hurt and a friend took me home. I immediatly started looking for another truck. I don't know if I will go 1st or 2nd gen. Depends on what I can find that is near perfact (I am a little pickey).

holy hell, glad you are ok! were did this happen? I am in the southern part of the twin cities, if ya need help looking for a new truck, let me know!

I was southbound on 494 at carlson parkwayon my way to Hopkins. I don't know if I am going bo go 1st or 2nd gen yet but if you see any 1st gens with good clean exteriors I am very interested. They don't have to be perfect just nice looking with little rust. I will drive to get one. Regular or extendend cab and preferably 4WD.

There's a guy by me that has some really nice 1st gens. He goes through them pretty quick, but always has top quality stuff. I could give him a call and see what he has if you want me to.

Corey

PS. You're one lucky guy. Glad to hear you're ok.

Hey CumminsAholic that would be great. I miss the truck already. The Tacoma I am borowing is killing me. PM me if you find anything.

wowsers... . glad to see you're alright. If your looking for a second gen you may want to go to the hospital and get checked out first, there may be head trauma

Glad to hear you are ok. Question, is the insurance going to take it or do you get to keep it. Looks like your engine and drive train would be in good working order. :(

I am going to buy it back I think. It has brand new tires, two optimas, a Webasto heater and all that. I will put everything in the next one and put the drivetrain on the shelf for when I need it.

thats a good point. if they offer you a buy back, it should be fairly cheap, that is if you had full coverage anyway. I would definatly buy that baby back if I was you. if not for spare parts, to part it out and sell it to make a few bucks. there shouldnt be anything wrong with the drivetrain, as it looks like you did a pretty clean flop.

And, by the looks of that cab, I dont think i would want another 1st gen. no offense to you 1st gen guys, but I have seen quite a few pics of 2nd gens, even the quad cab versions flopped and they dont look half as bad as yours! Just My opinion.

btw, have you been down in the Lakeville/burnsville/savage area? I swear I have seen that rig before... well before ya flopped it that is... :-laf

HOLY SMOKES !!!!!!... ... ... dude, you obviously "called in a favor from the head of the church" on this one... .

From the look of that old girl we shoulda been readin about you in the paper... . you live a charmed life my friend.....

bob... .

Glad to hear you are OK, sorry to see your truck all messed up. I just went through this a year ago, it sucks big time. I still miss my old truck.

Guardian Angel alright

WOW!!!! Glad you were able to communicate with us today. It looks like there was very limited headroom when that all stopped moving.

I would be VERRRRY careful for a little while. I think that your guardian angel needs a little time to recover from the work helping you out with that one. ;)

Good Luck with the search!

You are one blessed man with an Angel in your back pocket! Great to hear you lived to write about, and start looking for another truck. I used to live in Regina in the late '70's, what a beautiful part of the the world, I never forget it (just thinking about it a couple of day ago... ). I hope you make out with the insurance and find a CTD whatever generation works for you. Happy New Year! Whatever you do to keep that Angel on your side, let us know. We sinners can always use the connection. Patrick.
