The manual I own is for 2x4. The truck is on the stands and i am unsure about removing the rotors. Do I have to remove the selector switch? What kind of inards will fall/fly out? Is there a nut like the rear shaft? etc. etc.

Steering shaft

Is replacing the seal on the input shaft necessary? It also appears the shaft I received from Borgeson appears to be too short. It is a full inch short of the original shaft coupler when i put it up next to it. Does the stering shaft extend and retract above the rag joint?

It is a 1993 350

Thanks in advance

The front end is basically the same as the rear for getting the rotors off. Pull the lock out and there will be snap ring holding in the splined part of the lockout. After that you have two nuts holding the hub on the spindel. After you have the hub off press out all the studs and the rotor should pop off with a tap. If I missed anything it should be pretty self explanitory. You will need a large socket for the nuts though. I think it's the same one for the rear if you have that.

I think the size of the rear nut is 2 9/16". I had to make my own socket to pull the rears off. I havent pulled off the front rotors yet, so I dont know if its the same as the rears.

The BORG shaft does extend, might have to cut the zip ties off , if its a new one.

If your 93 still has the stock wheel bearing retainer nuts. They are not a square nut. They take a 4 pin socket. Snapon #S6146 the parts stores can cross that number. There is also a flat snap ring on the inside of the hub holding the lockout's inner mechanic's in the hub. You need 2 screw drivers to pop it out. It doesn't use regular snap ring pliers.

Sorry mine had the 2 9/16 nuts I was unaware of the special socket, forgot about the small snap ring on the axle shaft too. Thanks Philip
