Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Rotory Pump ??

A friend has a 1990 motor home with the 160 h. p. Cummins engine. In talking with him ,he stated he has a rotory pump and not the in-line, and as far as he knows, there are no upgrades for this pump. Myself, I had not heard of such a pump, but I am also relatively new to diesel upgrades, and diesels for that matter. Do any of you know of possible upgrades for such a pump? Thanks

Yes there are upgrades for the rotary pump - check my signature. I've got a 230hp version of that pump. He will have to install larger injectors - actually this should be a first step along with guages to monitor the engine. You can check the archives for instructions on how to improve performance on his existing pump.

Turning up the power

Here is the TST alignment for turning up the VE rotary pump on the 89-93 Cummins engine, TST has the larger injectors also.
