I found one for my 1992 at a Pep Boys store in Nashville. I was suprised they had it in stock and it is a good quality heavy mat that fits well.
Had it about 2 years now. Think it was around $45. 00-$50. 00.

92 D250 Auto Trans-Currently stock except for TCI special torque convertor. Now adding 16cm turbo housing, complete 4" exhaust, tachometer, pyrometer, and transmission temperature gauge. Injectors in the near future.
Also have 1984 Volvo D260 with inline 6 diesel made by Volkswagen.

How about some horse stall mats? They are about 1" thick and come in large sizes. If you need to form them to the bed, you can cut them with a sawzall with a wood blade. Heavy, but I think your truck might be able to handle it. #ad
Fisco farm and home stores carries them and I think they are about 30 bucks each.
Steve.

Mobile Living sells them. I think I paid $90 for the one for my 96 and kept it for my 01. Works great for the slide in. Not sure if you have that store up there but there is a couple in the bay area. One in Concord and one in S. F.

I got mine a Pep Boys. Wal-Mart didn't have one in stock. I bolted the camper guides through the mat and the bed rails using oversized backup washers so hopefully nothing would move. So far--so good.

I got mine at the local farm store. Here, they come in 1/2 inch or 3/4 inch thickness.
I had to buy two, at about 35 dollars each, then trim to fit. I put the seam in the middle, and your average joe is not going to do a "grab and run". These are heavy, but that also equates to strong and durable. I trimmed mine with a linoleum knife... wish I would have had the sawzall back then. Good idea!

Orschlen Farm and Home Center is where we get ours. We have one in every pickup, and buy only from Orschlens because so far they have been the Heaviest Duty and the best price for what your getting.

I think 50-60 dollars will get you one for a 1st gen. or 2nd gen long box.

A good one to get is a Protecta HD. It's twice as thick as the ones from Walmart and $20 more. I had one from Walmart once, but it was so thin,if anything was on it,it would move around side to side or front to back. It made a good pad for the top of the workbench at any rate.
