On my truck with the manual I would have to say in the 1100 range. But I have also noticed that it will come on at an idle. I use the brake and then come to the stop and it will come on with no tire movement and idle. I pushed the button and the exhaust sound went away. This is with the temp half way up the gauage and 65 outside temp. It just started doing this after 2000 miles. Now it don't do it all the time though. Just a little observation of mine. :)

It shoud stay on all the time unless the C&C is different than the reg truck or maybe the difference is the standard trans verses the auto. Mine is allways on and have never turned it off.

RVTRKN,

I believe most posts which have addressed the turn-on/turn-off issue VIA THE SWITCH, suggest that the C&C is in fact different, in that once turned-on, the EB switch STAYS on, whether or not the truck is turned off, until the EB switch is turned off.

In the pick-ups, if the EB switch is on when the truck is turned off, the EB automatically turns off too, and the driver must turn the EB back on again, when the truck is started the next time.

But,... this is not what is being discussed in this thread, regarding the 1100rpm. When the EB switch is on,... the EB does not "function" (actually try to slow the truck) until your foot comes off the accelerator.

Then the rig is slowed, until at some point the EB cuts-out, or stops "functioning", even though the switch is still on.

Based on what members have reported so far, it is beginning to seem that the usual point where this occurs is around 1100 rpm, in one of the top 4 gears, ... possibly never functioning at all in 2nd or 1st gear.

What I have said here applies mainly to the auto. We do not have many reports on the manual trans yet so don't have a firm impression of any differences re. the EB.

Well, I did some more checking with the EB and it stays on untill I push in the clutch. It will stay on in 2nd idleing then when the clutch is disengaged it will turn the brake off. Before I never let it go down that low so now I know. Also it doesn't matter about speed. It will come on under 15 mph.

I'll pay more attention to the RPM's when it turns off, but I know it works in all six gears (G56) and thanks for the clarifacation on the difference bewtween the C&C & reg trucks.

After checking cutout of the EB, I found it to turn off at 900 RPM and have experienced even lower RPM cutout even to the point of Idle. I believe the lower RPM cutout is due to the EB motor not being fast enough when downshifting aggressively. The EB is a awesome feature and with all the other extras on my C&C I dont think I will miss the 5. 9 if I sell it. My 6. 7 so far is trouble free
