My '92 D-250 came out of Texas originally equipped with "Continental Accessories" running boards. These were equipped with orange "light boxes" with 3 opaque windows on the outboard side which allowed light to shine through slots in the boards. Probably "hi-tech" in 1992 but after 31 years these sections, being thinner, gave up the ghost and have all but disintegrated.
I've removed them from the truck which required drilling the screws as they were rusted tight on 4 out of 6.
Dremell tool cleaned up the remnants and I've got some plexiglass coming to fit in the boxes and will likely go back with LED bulbs. This is also an opportunity to clean up the wiring which had scotch locks in it. I do not like these nor would I ever use them.

Anyhow for what it's worth here's what the boxes look like:

I'd be pleased if anyone knows where I can locate the "hat type" channel that held the wiring in channels of the running boards.

Thanks!

Those channels look similar to what is used for bracing struts in commercial building and industrial facility construction. Amazon has the one pictured, pricey but might work for you.
