There is no way I was going to convince my dealer that they were the wrong bars, especially since I didn't order them or want them. But I'm happy with the credit they are giving me to be applied to the cost of the powered boards (scheduled to be installed this coming Friday). Those brackets appear to be the ones used for the 1500 they are shorter than the ones for the 2500. Most parts Monkeys don’t know how to look up the right accessories they just go with the first item on the page. One always fits all right?
I got the passenger side on, and will finish the drivers side, tomorrow.Ordered these last night I like the polished ends and they are strait. I’ll post how the wife likes them. Even though I need them too, she has a tough time getting in the truck. https://runningboardwarehouse.com/p/ionic-6-stainless-nerf-bars/
Look great!View attachment 115881 View attachment 115883

My powered AMP running boards were installed yesterday by my dealer with credit given for the "old" Mopar steps. I'm happy with the outcome and DW can now enter the truck without asssistance or a step stool. It's all good and this solution all came about because of all you good folks who contribute to TDR (and of course the TDR folks themselves.)
So now that I have the nifty AMP steps/boards, the lower side edges of the truck look kind of barren without the nice shinny chrome Mopar steps. Has anybody added some kind of trim piece to fill this void?
Maybe the "CLEAN" look will grow on me. I still need to get the camper shell on it (it's ordered) and front and back mud flaps. Then I'll how it looks. I liked the service advisor I was working with and told him that I am new to his area but I had in another state an outstanding dealer service advisor that I worked with exclusively for 17 yrs (three Rams) and one Durango. The new guy promised to give also give me great service. We'lll see. At least he now knows me as "Running Board Bob".Nope... it's a clear case of function over form. You are now a proud member of the CLEAN look/easy access club. Since we own both, I like both, especially when i was having a hard time getting in after surgery.
Glad the dealer took care of you... mine certainly takes care of me after purchasing 4 trucks and a Jeep.
Cheers, Ron
Add some chrome via MOPAR accessories! Sorry for the bad pic of the side moldings. I need to find what MOPAR used and get a strip for the bed taking it "wheel to wheel".

Thank you for the great words. Usually the standard weight is not put below the custom design like that. It can place the stainless too high up on the mud flap and end up under the fender. Yours was very special. We try to put the drill-less mud flaps at 7" off the ground to avoid the curbs but protect your boast or trailer. Some trucks sit lower than others. My DuraFlaps are customized! They were very nice and had their shop layout what I wanted and got back to me and said it would work. With my DRW having the Factory Rear Air Ride I ended up moving the rears up 2" and cut off two inches off the top. I was dragging on curbs.
Pic is before I raised them 2"
Around 4 years and they still look great!
