That interchange has been finished for some time, however, 210 to 15 south is way faster. I live at the 210/15 interchange and your wellcome to park in front of my house for the night, and I can loan you a generator for the nite.

good to hear. it was still being worked on when i drove through last spring and had been for 2-3 years before that. it was a PITA to navigate at times with the changing on ramps, lane shifts, temporary signs, etc.

If you have to go 5 stop at the six flags campground at the 126 that way if something happen on the 5 between the top of the grapevine and the camapground they close the hwy OFTEN Ed

One of the WalMarts in in Bakersfield allows overnight stays in its parking lot - free and easy. Not elegant but about as simple as you can get. Be sure to call and find out which store allows this to avoid problems.
