LandShark, Am I reading your signature correctly? You have a 2500 Dodge, I assume a long bed with a 12' truck camper. The longest Elkhorn truck camper made by Fleetwood was 11'7" according to my RV Consumer Group and they recommend a Class 4 truck, which is a 4500. The RVCG says that with average options, fresh water and propane the camper, will have a curb weight of 3444 pounds. That's not even adding food, and the rest of the gear one needs for a camping trip. What did you have to do to handle the extra weight and how stable is the truck?
