I have been thinking of getting a set of nerf bars. There are alot of options out there. My question is what is the big difference between allumium chromed and stainless steel chromed. Which would you get? thanks corey

I have the Westin platinum series, they are stainless steel powder coated black, lifetime warrantee against corrosion, they also offer them in chrome plated stainless. The install was very easy, you do not have to drill any holes they use the body bolts and brackets that use existing holes in the body to keep them from tilting. I have had them on for over a year, no problems so far.

I would go with the stainless. Just because I never had any problems with them on past trucks that spent a lot of time on the beach. I just wish grizzly made their double bend nerfs in stainless. My . 02
