LKrueger said:what is safe boost pressure for a stock engine? my 02 HO w/dd2's and a comp-as a EZ gets at least close to 40psi (easily pegs my 35 lb guage)whats others running with no head gasket problems?? thanks for any input. Luke
darkhorse said:The standard HX35 has been safely pushed to around 50 psi, but there is little point as you lose efficiency past 35 psi. Past that point the air is heated excessively. I'd suggest setting your wastegate at 35 psi.

PC12Driver said:My wastegate is set for 38-40psi, and it was happy until the temps dropped in the winter. It popped at 38psi when the temps were 15F. I guess the cold air causes the timing to advance a little much. Engine was at operating temp, btw.
DieselMinded said:What about the AUTO's Ive been close to 50PSI sounds really cool and scary at the same time
I have a turnbuckle on tightened all the way up
they say the stocker is Wg'ed @ 35
if so Why Do I need a Turnbuckle ??
To my understanding the stock turbo thats on the auto already has a adjustment its just a pain to adjust
right now Im running 3x4 and when Im WOT I feather it around 35 if I keep in to it,,,, it will go past 40psi easy
when Im in 5x5 it will go to 50psi
I try not to do that
if I took off my TB I wouldnt have to worry about it
what should I do ??
