while sitting in my 5500 today waiting on my wife, I checked the engine stats: 43 hours of idle and 304 total hours. 14.4 % of my use has been idling. Very interesting. What numbers y'all seeing as totals and a percentage. Cheers, Ron

Lol, this ym tread is beyond realistic.

Kaboomm: park in any NJ rest area and there's plenty of gigantic signs statin Do Not Idle, you wanna challenge that, big guy, go ahead. Lol.

My truck (this last one, 2017with 168k miles today) has 1506 idle and 2670 drive hours. I tow for a living and i sleep in my truck idling at 70deg. Never had an issue, and this is my 4th 4gen, not counting the other 14 trucks on previous generations.
Go ahead and tell me your "opinion"

8 Idle hours. (+) 2152 Drive hours= 2160 total hours.

Less than 0.4% idling if you believe the lying
Ly-ometer.

On about 10-12 occasions in 5 1/3 years of ownership and operation i've left it idling with the ac or heater on while i run into a restaurant/grocery store/hardware store to buy things. At the grocery store, it might be idling for up to an hour.

So you can see my hours are not being recorded accurately by the computer.

My fuel filter counter/minder also doesn't give me 15k on a filter. Instead, it's closer to 12k before telling me to change it. The fuel filter counter counts faster than the oil change minder/counter

I'm not sure who Kaboomm is but nonetheless it appears you havent read through the entire thread before jumping all over the reply button. Because there's no "challenging" going on here big guy but merely discussions and sharing of information. If thats not realistic enough for you then sorry...

Well, we actually never married. So she's just my girlfriend (of 19 years). I own the truck. Not her
I did the same thing. we got married after 22years, I believe. Been together 28 years. It was an extended test drive! LOL!!
