Emmisions test in Colorado

Head Count For Mason Dixon Fall Brawl

The Salt Lake City get together went off as planned. I counted 14 trucks and about 20 people that showed up. This was a great turnout for an event with such short notice. Both the owners and their trucks were first rate. The trucks that were at the GTG were all second generation trucks. There were two-wheel drive trucks, four-wheel drive trucks, quad cabs, regular cabs and trucks that went from mild to wild. As one might imagine, there was a lot of discussion about the trucks and their various modifications. After the discussions, several of the people adjourned to the restaurant where even more discussions took place. After this most everyone left with the exception of a few die-hards. The die-hards decided to have a mini-rally up Big Cottonwood Canyon. This ended up at a gorgeous lookout that according to my GPS was just shy of 10,000 feet. I will try and post some of the pictures that were taken at the GTG. Thanks to all of you that showed up. There may be a more formal Salt Lake GTG in the future. Several people expressed an interest in having a "Dyno Day". We'll see what happens.

This is a picture of a truck that belonged to a young lady that had never heard of TDR. I saw her truck in the parking lot of the grocery store and left a note on it inviting her to the GTG. She arrived with her husband. This was a nice two-wheel truck complete with roses stenciled on the windows and a fifth wheel hitch. Why can't more girls have trucks like this? ;) Anyway, before she left, she had a TDR membership application in her hand courtesy of EricBu12.

These are some serious mudflaps! "CAUTION" Do not tailgate this truck while going up an 8% grade. Mushroom clouds are known to appear. ;)

If you ever wanted to know what your truck would look like if it had every accessory from Geno's catalog on it... Well, here ya go. This truck belongs to EricBu12. It has every accessory and option available. Seriously though, this truck is really nice and it is so clean that you could eat off of the motor.

Here is the SLC GTG group picture. One fella didn't want his picture taken. He mumbled something about "America's Most Wanted" and moved out of camera range. ;)

This was the final view at almost 10,000 feet and the end of the mini-rally.

Once again, thanks to all of those who participated. See ya next time... .

Dave,

Nice photos!

Thanks to all that showed up even if for a short time, I was suprised at the # of guys and 1 gal (green truck- gonna be a new member)

had lunch at Dee's and traded E-mails. Hope we can do this again and maybe do a rally or something on a larger scale

Nice photos Big Dawg. There are quite a few ham radio operators in Salt Lake. The rig has a Kenwood dual bander. Could get more radio, but other things are more pressing right now.

Handle is KD7GYJ. Name is Blair Hutchings (general).

Snowbird is a beautiful place anytime of year.

Blair:D

Big Dawg is also a Ham operator. Glad to know others in Salt Lake.

Thanks for the GTG, it was great. The trucks looked great guys. GO CUMMINS!
