Salt Spreader

Anyone using a salt spreader on their truck?

I'm looking for a small one that I don't have drill any holes in my bed or gate.

Any suggestions?

How about a kid standing in the back, throwing salt from the bag?





The Western hoppers we used to use at the schools had a square tube mount that fit into the stake holes. The bracket at the bumper had bolts that went into the bumper, but that was the only place it was bolted.

Here's a picture of the latest model, with a hitch mount. I don't know how it is supported at the top though.

I think you can get something like that in the Northern tools catalog as well.

Been there, done that :{



Seriously, though, I'd look in the Northern Tools catalog first, then go shopping at any local places that carry snowplowing equipment.
