Jeep Liberty Diesel

Ive found a couple of stations that tend to fight to be the cheapest station in san diego. I tried to get phone #'s from each place so i can call around each time i fill up. none of them will give up the #, Im shure a phone book would work but they still won't give me the prices over the phone.

heres the stations i find to be the cheapest, am i missing any?

AM PM's

1) old town off the 5

2) main in national city off the 5

3) thrifty at university and 805

4) "76" off the 52 frwy and rio

5) Mobil and daniels market in ramona

6) "hotel" off 8hwy and main st in el cajon

has some body thrown around the idea of posting, "up to date" diesel prices at different stations in different regions? Ive tried the internet and no luck for the diesel folk out here...

AS OF 8-12-04 in PM IN SAN DIEGO

$1. 97 ampm off old town and the 5frwy

Well it's 2. 19/gal up in Temecula, 2. 15 in Mission Viejo. Too far to drive for 10 cents/gal. What's the price in Yuma? or stateline AZ? John

Burbank

$2. 07 at the 76 on Alameda south/west of the 5 (I forget the cross street).

$2. 07 at the Exxon at San Fernando & Beuna Vista

Avoid any gas station around Disney on Alameda in Burbank. They all over charge at or over the price of 91 oct.

North Hollywood

$2. 07 at the Chevron at Burbank Blvd & Laural Canyon

I keep hoping it drops below $2 here but the 2. 07 is much better then the $2. 20 and up we had in early summer.

Sam, whereabouts do you live in Burbank? The Exxon at San Fernando and Buena vista is where I used to fuel up when working for Brad Kilby of Kilby enterprises. . He is about a 30 second drive from that station to his shop. . you oughta call him and pay him a visit sometime :D

I work about a block from Beuna Vista & Glenoaks. I live south west of here in what they call Valley Village.

I'll stop by Kilby enterprises some time Oo.

In San Diego, the RTC Staion at I-15 and El Cajon Blvd seems to be cheap but may not be the cheapst. Today it was 2. 089. They also have Bio-Diesel but it was 2. 449 today.

1. 99. 9, 7-11 convenience store corner of Sunnymead Blvd and Frederick St in Moreno Valley, just east of Riverside, on the west side (east bound side) of 60 Fwy;

1. 97. 9, 76 Union station corner of Anderson and Redlands Blvd in Loma Linda, just east of I-10/I-215 interchange in San Bernardino, on the south side (east bound side of the I-10 Fwy -- NOTE: Their pumps shut off at $50. 00 on a credit card transaction, and then will NOT accept your credit card a second time; you have to go to the window and do a second credit card transaction to continue fueling. This station DOES have high-capacity large-nozzle truck diesel pumps (2) and several small-nozzle diesel pumps for passenger vehicles.

1. 89. 9, Thrifty gas station, on Tippiecanoe/Anderson in Loma Linda, same street as 76 Union station, but opposite side of fwy -- on the north side (west bound side) of I-10. This station does NOT take credit cards, so if you're using a 5% discount credit card, the Union 76 station on the other side of the fwy ends up being 1-cent per gallon cheaper.

Flying J has a 1-cent per gallon discount; you "apply for" and get the card instantly at the counter inside the their store and swipe it at the pump; it will also give you the cash price on credit card transactions.

Terrible Herbst has a "casino card" good for 5-cents per gallon discount, but you can ONLY get it at their casino in Henderson, Nevada. It's good at any of their stations.

Citibank has a 5% rebate credit card (no annual fee) good for fuel purchases at the pump, and for some other purchases also. We labeled ours "FUEL ONLY" with a black marker and that's all we use it for. Their phone number is 800-950-5114.

AAA HAD a good card, but ended the 5% rebate and changed it to "2% for qualifying purchases" effective 8-1-04. We don't use it anymore.

thanks chessel, you the man. citi bank here i come...

thats $. 10 a gallon at these prices.

$3. 50 every fill up. 10 fill ups and ill renew my TDR membership

It's 5% on gas stations, grocery stores and pharmacies... yahoo

so am i just a cheap a$$ or just get excited about saving $ way too easy?

$1. 99 at the AM/PM off the I-5 Estrella exit in San Clemente, and the same at the 76 station at Dana Point harbor.

Second that! I just got mine a couple weeks ago. I was using the Chase perfectcard. It gives you 6% back for a while, then drops to 3%. I'm going to throw that one out and use the citi card from now on. I'll take all the free perks I can get!

I was in Yuma, AZ today and paid $1. 84. 9. Came back to San Diego and noticed it is $2. 15. 9 at the station in Del Cerro. I suppose it's for the previlege of living in California. As for me, I would much rather live in AZ.

I'm trying to collect more fuel discount cards, like the Flying J card and the Terrible Herbst casino card. Anyone know of any others?

AS OF 8-17 TUESDAY IN AM

$1. 95 AmPm off 5 near main in national city. (btwn exists)
