I too have had the infamous ping/sounds like the engine is lugging. I've been using 16oz of diesel kleen to remedy the problem and thus far I've been pretty happy with it. Filled up yesterday and decided to try the sea foam. I've gone a hundred miles and it doesn't sound any different. If I don't notice anything by the time I get to a half a tank, I'm going to stick with the diesel kleen.
