Seat belt chime

Does anyone know if the seat belt chime on a 2010

ST dually can be programmed to not ring? I think the

dealer "turned it off" on my 2006.



If it's a dealer item I will get them to do it before

delivery.

yea just put it on. you would be a lot safer with it...

Im not sure I see how the chime makes me any safer.



When I get in after opening a gate and then drive at idle

speed thru the gate or down the driveway I'm not in a

very dangerous situation. But the "dinging" chime is

pretty irritating.

the chime wont but when you put the seat belt on the chime will stop so having the seat belt on you will be safer.

but i just seen you part about the gate. i see your point. some people just dont use seat belts. wanted to make sure you used it!

do a search on this forum. i asked the same question and got an an answer that works. you do a key on off sequence while latching / unlatching the belt.

Thanks, Manny. I found the previous thread. The truck is supposed to be delivered today or tomorrow and if the dealer didn't do this I will use the procedure posted by Goosehunter.

I did not have to try the "key on and off" procedure. At my request the dealer's service department turned the chime off.

Got the truck late yesterday so I don't have much "seat time" yet. Now I'll have to update my profile. But the short version is that it's a white 2010 ST 3500 dually.
