2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Seat Belt light

98 2500, lately the seat belt red idiot light on the operators panel stays on some days, then goes off, sometimes stays on 3 days at a shot. I was curious if this is something anybody had seen before and was cause for concern, and yes it stays on with my belt buckled, I even buckled the passenger side, and the pass airbag is on.

May be the switch contacts in the belt buckle. You can disconnect the electric plug at the seat belt buckle and ohm check the contacts when buckling and un-buckling the seat belt. Or you can jumper the truck side of the connector to see if the light goes off.

Mine stays on all the time. I tried jumping the truck side, but could not get the light to go out.
