Hey everyone,

I was wondering if anyone has put these seat heaters in there truck. I was thinking about getting them for mine. I know it says it comes with custom instructions how to install and remove the seat covers. The only thing I'm worried about is that my truck as after market leather interior. Any feedback/opinions?

I have them on both front seats and love them! I pulled the seats out of the truck to make it a lot easier to install. I have cloth and can't imagine that leather would be a problem.

I also have a set. Love 'em! Got them from Geno's. I had a problem with one shortly after I installed them and Geno's took care of it on the spot! They have been working flawlessly ever sence. Thinking of putting them in the back seat also.

I have a set I installed back in 2004 (I think). They work okay, but when the temperature is cold the driver side won't turn on. Been that way for a few years now, and I still haven't got around to diagnosing it.

I've also heard people say you should install the elements upside down for more heat. I installed mine right-side-down (I think), and while they do get warm, I wish they got hotter.

I've got them in my 06 and in the wifes 08 mega-cab and we really like them. They haven't given us any problems as of yet. I had them installed at a local dealer but I can't imagine they are too hard to install.

I have them with switch under driver seat mounted on a bracket.
Had 2 failures on my last truck with the lower elements dying but rostra sent out new ones with no questions asked.

How much did it cost to have them installed?

Have no idea what the part number is. . I hoped Dodge made a matching switch to run other accerories off the two other empty blanks. So I asked if the switch would work for driving lights since I didn't want to drill holes for a new toggle. Of course the part guy couldn't tell me,so we;ll see how the switch holds up to driving lights.

Part numbers??

AIRTEX Part # 1S7804

(Passenger Seat)

$31. 79 $0. 00 $31. 79

AIRTEX Part # 1S7802

(Drivers Seat)

I got these part numbers from Rockauto.com

They were listed there for about 30 bucks a piece and from the picture they supplied of the switch it looks like it would work well with the Rostra seat heaters. Because they just have a two position option also.

I bought the mopar seat heater kit. It was about $250 and came with all parts/wiring needed, it just plugs into existing wiring with no cutting or splicing needed. It has three heat setting and so far i've never used "high". The medium setting is plenty hot so far.

What all came in the kit? I'm interested in hearing more about 3 heat settings. Do the switches mount in the stock location, would you have any pics of the switches? My seats are too hot on high, too cold on low, medium sounds like just the ticket.

It came with the seat bottom & back heating elements for the front seats. The wiring harness to go from a control box to the elements, the control box and wiring to go from the switches (also supplied) to the control box. Pretty much it came with everything, even zip ties to tie the wire harnesses.

To clarify though, the switches are NOT the factory switches, but imo they look fine.

So the switches went in the stock location? Would you give me the Mopar Part number again? When you get a chance, would you take a couple pictures of the switchs? I'm looking to add some lights and I'm going to need to mount extra switches. I dislike regular toggles and we don't have many flat surfaces to mount switches. It would be ideal to be able to mount another bank of switches AND make it work

Where did you find them at?

I'll get some pictures tonight so you can see the switches and where I mounted them. I will try and find the receipt also and get the part number.
