thanks devon, I remember hearing the everett tours were dust in the wind ;)

heck, getting into the KSC is still :(

come on out to the next get together

Bob, I would really like to attend an event but with our wacky schedules, it's really hard to get the time to come down your way. Is anything happening more North?

Stack/Jack, check out http://www.boeing.com/flash.html and click on "about Boeing" and then "tours" in the box that comes up. I've been on the Everett plant tour twice, the last time was in March or April, so I know the tours are still on. It's well worth it, but my only complaint about the tour is that it's too short. I guess they don't want the tours to drag out too long. You watch a few videos (the historic one is awesome... see how many planes you can identify, you'll go nuts if you're an airplane freak like me!), then they bus you to the plant and you walk to a viewing platform and look at the 747 production line. Then the bus takes you around where you can see the finished airplanes sitting out on the tarmac waiting for flight testing or delivery, and they point out the paint hangar and a few other buildings, but you don't get to go inside them. And that's it. The first time I went on the tour, I was thinking, "Wh?... wait a minute! What about the 767 and 777 lines?" I would love to see those, as well as the receiving building where they take components from the Wichita plant and Northrop's Hawthorne Ca. plant off from oversized railroad cars. If Justbeamn can set you up with a personal tour, THAT would be cool!

When will you be here? Maybe you can join us at one of our NWBOMBer gatherings.

Seattle

Actually I think the trip thru the San Juans would be the best- beautiful place. But Seattle traffic sucks - try to stay off the Freeways. Also the Space Needle is cool ! You may not want to go back to Indiana after that trip.

HEY ! IT'S EITHER "ONE NATION UNDER GOD" OR KISS MY A** AND JUST LEAVE !:D
