Server password help!!!

I have a server running Windows Server 2000. In a fit of stupidity I created a user account w/out giving user the administrator permission and then DISABLED the original administrator account!

Can someone help me?

If I use a crossover ethernet cable from a computer running Win 2k that has administrator permissions can I then access the permissions for all?

I do not believe that what you are suggesting will work.

As I recall this procedure below will do what you need.

I've used a password reset tool before called lophat crack that worked.

I don't think a crossover cable will work, but if you have an account that has domain administrator privileges then what you are asking will work.

If you don't, then download or find an Emergency Boot CD that will reset passwords and accounts. I've used one several times to fix things like this. Good luck.

Thanks for the replies. I FINALLY got in touch w/my I. T. guy and he came in w/a disk and burned some incense and chanted some mumbo-jumbo and it WORKS!!
