Since I purchased my truck it's had a loud belt squeel. The catch is... it'll ONLY take into the squeel when reved over 2 grand. And the only way it'll back out of it is if it's reved over 2 again. With that said...

Last weekend I did my killer dowel pin. I checked my pulleys and they all appeared to be fine. I figure, if it were the alternator, it'd happen at low RPM, if it were the AC, it would alter the sound turning it on or off, the tensioner isn't off-sides or wobbly and the fan is tight as a drum. That leaves the harmonic balancer, the power steering pump and the water pump.

If anyone else has had this issue let me know.

On a side note, I'm looking at putting in some aftermarket speakers. What size speakers are in the doors and back cab.

I have a Kenwood deck installed at the moment. Got it from a buddy. It was 250 bucks at the time. Got a few preouts, MP3/CD-RW, satellite radio ready, flipdown face. I like the red and blue too. Looks good inside the cab. I also have 2 10" Infinity subs and a Kenwood amp that I purchased on sale at half price a year ago. I just never used them. Kinda foolish I know but they looked good. I've got a homemade box for them so they're good to go.

It isn't the power steering pump. It is gear driven. Not the balancer, either.

Replacing the belt would be a good idea, but it could still be the tensioner. They are spring loaded, and can get weak. Also, when the belt is off, make sure the alternator, water pump, and the A/C compressor pulleys spin freely.
