JR,

We're fine. This winter event is a crisis for a lot of folks. Cleo has learned to step carefully and not bust her butt. Me and DW too.

I think plumbers and home repair folks are going to have a lot of business when this is over. My worst impact is above ground plumbing on my three 1660 gallon rainwater storage tanks is ruined, tanks are full. Redo will be buried.

Cheers and stay warm, Ron

Ron, I’m so sorry! I’ve been distracted lately and just catching up on here. Please accept my condolences. This is the toughest thread to read on here in a long time :(
Mother Nature never ceases to amaze us with her amazing ability. It’s been a “real winter” here in the Northeast, but y’all down below are really experiencing some frigid deal!
Prayers for your all well being have been sent.

Thanks Wayne. We're better. Now that Cleo doesn't have Sheba to play with, she plays more with me and Vivian. She gets really vocal about it. When it gets warmer, I'll start teaching Cleo to catch the Frisby (rubber dog friendly one). Sheba was an amazing Frisby catcher and could catch it several feet in the air. Except when I was traveling with work, we never spent a single day apart. We all loved RVing together and so does Cleo.

Take good care and stay warm. Cheers, Ron

Thanks Chris, never too late for a kind word. All the words of condolences and sharing stories has made a big difference for DW and me.

Sorry for the loss of your rottie as well. Hope you can find your way to get another one, never a replacement, only adding another family member.

Cheers, Ron

I'm so very sorry for you loss Ron. It's very hard losing a friend no matter 4 legs or 2. Hope all is well all things considered.

Thank you Sir. Cleo is almost a handful since Sheba passed. We're thinking of adding a new pet to keep Cleo company. We played fetch around 5 hours a day, would be nice to get back to a couple. DW still not there yet, but working on her.

Thanks again for the kind words, Ron

Looks like the power companies are not playing favorites
Storms are costly even without major destruction. As the price of electricity skyrocketed during the winter storm, the electric bill at Fort Hood, Texas, jumped to about $30 million for the month of February, Gabram said.

That’s about the same as what the base paid for its energy in all of fiscal 2020, Republican Georgia Rep. Austin Scott noted.

“We’re in the process of challenging and taking a look at the accuracy,” Gabram said. “There’s many folks in Texas that are looking at a higher bill than it’s actually going to turn out to be.”
