Does anyone know if a 95 has trans temp sensor. The reason I ask I replacped the tsp and for about 3 months it worked fine now it's giving me the same problem as before, shifting in and out between 55 and 60. About the same time it started this again the trans temp light would come on when started but after you accelerate it goes off. Trans was rebuilt about 6 months ago. By the way it's auto and has 225000 miles on it. Thanks in advance.

I know my 94 has to have the trans temp up to get lockup and OD operational.

Is your truck shifting gears or just locking/unlocking or dropping in and out of OD?

Trans Temp

Yes mine does the same thing until it warms up, but this problem is the same kind of problem as a tps would cause , but it's been replaced. I even thought it had gone bad, parts store gave me another to try, but still did same thing. It shifts back and forth between 55-60 mph. Also trans temp light is on a low rpm. Goes off as soon as you throttle up.

there's a fix for this at one of the torque converter shops can't remember which one so do a search . might be DDT or Suncoast.

The sensor can be replaced with a resistor to allow it to shift into OD without having to warm up. I did this to mine and it works great. I don't recall the size resistor, but seems like it was a 1k ohm. Found out about this on TDR, so some searching should confirm the size resistor.

I had the same problem with a 97, problem was in the temp sensor connector, disconnected the wiring, cleaned terminals, re-connected wires, and problem solved.
