Who gives and who doesn't

diet

alright, i sorta had some fun earlier... ... but, i believe both personally and professionally that we eat too much animal fat/ meat. i probably could never adhere to a strict vegetartian diet, but, i also believe that a diet which is predominantly vegetarian, with some source of protein--fish, chicken or simply beans and corn (provide all the essential amino acids) is healthier. many fats are being more and more linked to various cancers--stomach and colon, breast, and bladder to name a few. some cancer docs are putting their patients on diets which basically are vegetarian, with encouraging results. we as a population, simply don't eat enough of our calories in fruits and vegetables.

At Miles City, MT--

there is a museum (Fort Keogh I think) with portraits of important Indians along with their birth and death years. What inpressed me is that if these guys weren't killed, they all lived to nearly a hundred years old. Think about it. All they had to eat was what meat they could kill and what grass they could find that was edible.

There are 8 essential amino acids and only meat, eggs and some nuts have them all. Where does that leave a vegetarian?

Carbohydrates in fruits and vegetables require insulin to get the glucose into your cells for energy. What isn't used for energy is made into tryglicerides and stored under your skin as fat.

Insulin is also the vehicle that your body uses to store your steak. If you are insulin resistant your body will call up more insulin than is needed for the carbohydrates. The excess insulin immediately stores the fats you just ate in your belly. The only easy way to get rid of the big belly is to cut down on the carbohydrates.

Main stream health care is a big business. They don't want you healthy, they want you under a doctors care. "Every thing is fine today, give them $70. 00 at the desk and I will see you next month. "

Remember!! You are what you eat!! And your health is your responsibility!! :)

I am NOT what I eat. My body is a tool that helps me be what I am. Food is a tool that my body needs. I am NOT my tool's tool, but I have been called a cracker.
