My son bought a 03 or 04 3/4 and it started to shutter lightly in a turn while pulling a trailer. It didnt do this before and now it doesnt matter if he is towing or not. Any suggestions?

drop drive shaft check all u joints while its out and twist and turn shaft to check for hard spots.
check carrier bearing as well.

Classic ujoints issue. The carrier will be bad too, not so much that the bearing is bad but that the shaft has sagged in the rubber and is no longer being controlled.
Now the question is, does he want to replace the joints and keep chasing the shutter or does he want to go whole hog and get a 1 pc drive shaft and solve several issues at once?

Driveline launch shudder is most often caused by soft rear springs and a heavy trailer. The kingpin or hitchball weight of a heavy trailer causes the rear end to squat which causes u-joint binding.

New springs, Timbrens, or air bags often corrects it.

Since it started doing this while turning and now all the time I would check the front axle joints very careful. Bet they are dry and\or sloppy.

It appears to have gotten better (Quit) after changing the oil in the rear diff. We have not pulled a trailer since changing the oil but will give an update when we do.
