FASS Spring Question?

Please Read this. Diesel_Dan works for DPP.....

****** GO WITH GDP ********

Rich has great customer service, awesome products at half the costs of fass.

You can always get ahold of him and his customer service is second to none.

Unlike fass that consistantly leaves their customers hanging... .....

I am running a Walbro 392 and the volume and adjustablity is unbeatable.

Awesome product, period. :-laf

I try to make myself easily accessible to anyone that needs help (Weather through the dealer or forums). Any dealer that buys direct from us should, and is required to assist you with any wnty concern. This is an agreement that they agreed to, to buy direct from us. If they can not answer your question, have them call me. Anyone that has dealt with me know I will bend over backwards to help anyone in need. My goal is to educate our dealer to the issues we see. That way you will get better customer service. This system is working very well for us and we have some outstanding dealers in our network.

(While I aplaud your efforts here, this seems to as bad or worse than getting a voice recorded message when calling about a problem. I am glad this new system is working well for your company. So far as of tomarrow I will be at 3 days from the first time I started looking for help on the matter and I am still at square one. )

Mudinchev,

I can honestly say that Rip Rook is one of the many that goes above and beyond when any issues come up. Have him call/e-mail me. I did e-mail him about your issues just a bit ago as well. We will get you taken care of.

(Rip is a He!! of a guy! Which is why I have a hard time with the fact that I need to bother him with this when he did not sell me the pump. This pump was either donated by your company or one of your vendors as a prize at a Dyno Event. I tried to call Rip again today and left him a message that I had called because he was buisy dealing with paying customers. I dont feel its his responsibility to have to deal with this problem. Once again I'll give you an A for effort, but failing miserably in the action department. Which the way I am reading this is not your fault, your hands are tied. )

Yes, some items are sent out under wnty. Like the updated brush caps, and 5/8” ball. Anyone that had wnty records with us got the updates for free. If you didn’t receive the items, we didn’t have your shipping info on file. (AND dont contact me about it... its done... . )

The above "Quote" has statements from me please read

Im gonna take this as DPP lost my warranty regestration form with an explanation of how I aquired their product in a new unopened box along with contact extra contact information if there was going to be a problem with the warranty. But seeing as how you cant be contacted about it, it doesnt really matter anway.

BTW I would much rather handle this in a private conversation but I guess that is not possible either. Another great example of "good time managment" going on here, a 5 min phone call and its all handled, VS 3 days and counting.

this thread is an example of just why so many old guys no longer post on TDR too much back stabbing/bickering and my product is better than yours crapola

come on guys stop ruining the site, for the new guys sake

buy or don't buy but quit coming on here and *****ing for ever and multiple times, your dealer is where you need to go with the issues not here. the dealer is the one who owes you customer service and short track to answers as he is the one where you bought your items. your dealer is also the one who will have some pull with the companies as they buy multi items/inventory v/s you with your one unit.

just an old timmers opinion

I think threads like these are what makes TDR great.

They also call out alot of BS that otherwise would not get exposed or dealt with.

If you dont like dont read it.

Id much rather handle this in private, if I purchaced this from a dealer I would definetly be taking it up with them, this is just a unique situation. I am not inteding to sling mud here, I am just trying to figure out how to get this situation taken care of. Allthough I am offering up my opinion on the customer service, but thats just my opinion.

O. K. what did I miss. 5/8" ball replacement? I purchased and had my Fass installed by J&H Performance and sent the warrenty card in myself. I even ordered a replacement pressure spring and filters from DDP direct when they still took calls.

Diesel_Dan,

I'm simple and need simple answers.

My pump part number is FASS150/150-1006, I didn't see where you mentioned 150/150. Where can I get flilters? Geno's? Cummins Fleet Guard? Some place locally like NAPA?

I have read numerous posts on here about the FASS and the ideal presure for the VP-44. I have also asked the same question where I bought the FASS. All answers seem to differs and I don't know what to believe, so I would like an answer from the manufacture. I have 24psi running down the highway when temps are about 100. Now that temps are cooler in the morning, about 70's I have 26-27psi. What will the pressure be when temps are in the 30-40's? Is this to much pressure for the VP-44? If so what do I need to do?

Thanks in advance for the simple direct answers.

Diesel Dan,

Had been checking the gauge regularly prior to the install of the FASS, will check it again. I checked the part # on the bill of sale looks like the it is 1008 instead of 1006, so is the the right one for an 2002?

I will check the return line, but think it is okay, had 24-25psi from day one. So if my gauge is okay and there are no restictions and it is the right pump what do I need to do to lower the pressure?

What is the ideal pressure that the FASS should be pushing to the VP-44?

Thanks. .

I believe I remember reading that Bosch recommends 14psi as "ideal," while the VP44 will "tolerate" lower and higher pressures as shown on this forum.

That being said, I ran 12psi at the filter on my 99 CTD for over 200k (using the factory lift pump and filter) without any issue with the VP44.
