Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) shuttling noise when decelerating to quickly?

1994 12 valve automatic with 250,000 miles makes a shuttling noise from the turbo side of the motor when decelerating to quickly.
If the turbo is spooled up and the throttle chopped,... can it make that type of noise like something is shaking back and forth for only a few quick seconds????

It's called "huffing" try not to let off so fast after hammering it!

In the turbine engine world that is a compressor stall. Do it enough times and you risk one or more blades breaking from it's hub.

Turbo bark/stall has a few other names as well. Don't do it. It is the best way to ruin the bearings in the turbo.
