Steve,

If you haven't heard the story about "P" at the flats...

He did well for the class he was in which was a production class I believe. Problem was when the officials found out he using propane and Nos they threw the record out because the class he was in did not allow the alternative fuels and additives. The record for the appropriate class was about eleven miles an hour faster than he ran so he got a little upset and things didn't get any better you might say. I don't think he's been back to the flats (allowed back) since.

If you hear enough about the guy/meet the guy, and develop a character profile, you can just imagine that he probably feels the 148 mph record stands:confused:

AHHA!!!

Johnboy, the Ford drone, enters a discussion about dodges and sticks up for the wrong side.

Why?

Because the bad guy is a drug sniffer, and John is very fond of his drugs!(Sorry HVAC)

Cummins don't need no stinkin drugs!

Gene, PPS. :D

I don't like false advertising, never have. Get the FTC after him Steve.

Looks kinda fishy! As many people as there are on the board and only a couple stick up fo DR-JOKE. Thats got to say something. Not only that but some of them tell us how good his mod's are and they aren't even running them themselves. Never mind the competions mod's!

And no I do not work for BD or any other.

It appears there is more than one vendor that is misleading us

Keith Locklier from DD has been defending his 683HP run in Pahrump on the 15th of Dec. all over the web (here and Diesel Central) first he claims 683HP then Jim Fuller posted a thread on DC with a dyno sheet that showed his 717. 9HP run. and another here in the products section.

so Keith and a few others attack, claim he's wrong and that he didnt factor in the SAE Correction factor which was 1. 13

on a thread on DC Keith told a member (ASE mechanic) that his number of 683 was after the CF. which was posted here on yet another thread to be 1. 04 then somewhere i saw 1. 10-1. 12. then in another thread even still, Kieth posted it to be 4% . claiming in that thread that he made a corrected 658

somewhere i also read that, Kieth is claiming his 683 and telling that Jim's CF was then a 13%. making Jim's run less than his again.

Keith, what the H#!! was your real dyno number and CF and why cant you admit you are. .

Number 2 dog on the porch

one of the best signatures on here belongs to Diesel Freak, and it reads

"without facts, all you have is a opinion"

that is sooooo true. if you want to get nasty, i can post all the threads i am gathering this from. so you can edit them real quik.

i cant stand liers how bout you ??

My posts stated that the correction factor given at Pahrump on the 683hp run was 1. 04, yielding a 4% correction of the ACTUAL HP number of 658hp.

Jim posted that I had said that our correction factor normally runs around 1. 10-1. 12, which is close. We normally run about 1. 08 - 1. 12 depending on the time of year. Jim said the correction factor for his 717 run was 1. 14, or added 14% over his actual figures.

I thought this was done. We said come run in May and we'll see who makes more power, and who'll be #2.

Please don't twist my words around when they are right there in front of you.

hi buddy welcome back.

it looks like i won't be able to come to may madness:mad: to show you guys up:cool: . but not to frett i will be in vegas in march for a truck pull and maybe we could settle this then? maybe we can meet over at silver state motorsports. we could also do it at your shop like i said i trust you guys. i really wanted to come to may madness but the wife put her foot down. but instead i get to go to muncie and scheid for some good ole truck pulls. i will also be going to tacoma on feb,2 to see how she runs. there should almost no correction factor in tacoma since we will be at sea level.

Dang, Todd, and I thought you were hard on me!!

Well, I guess the lines are drawn, who can make the most HP on the dyno, OR, who can fudge the numbers the best!!!!:D

Guys,

I think we all need to chill out on this one. It's very hard to compare dyno #'s when they are done at different locations, there is just too many factors involved and too much room for excuses. My opinion is that who ever wins the dyno competition is the champ. Then if there a challenger from along place then they have a dyno off. That way there is know room for BS.

Jim,

When you go to NV you guys should set a video camera so those who can't make it can watch. :D :D Don't be to hard on me in Tacoma. :(
