Can someone tell me which issue contained the story of Sickly? Is there a search method to find specific articles or subjects in the digital magazine?
You are welcome. BTW, another reason for the name was to give a counterpoint to all the trucks that were named "big, bad" and other names connoting huge power. Then poor ol' Sickly spanked them on the dyno every time, using diesel fuel only, and a single turbo. I have the video from 2001 when three guys (one was the legendary Piers) pretended to push it up onto the roller (I had it in creeper) because it was too weak and sickly to make it onto the dyno by itself. That was the time it made 609 HP and the next highest was about 500.
Yes, and Nowel (HVAC on this forum) called the ideally valved 12-valves "undervalved" in response. Today, I maintain that I have a 12 valve, that is 12 intakes and 12 exhausts... hehe
Do you remember the "post wars" when proponents of each worked to keep the post count of that subforum ahead of the other? Finally, TDR shut down the war as bandwidth was getting excessive (in their opinion!).
Do you remember at a Texas TDR Rally after you installed injectors in someone's truck and Piers quietly crawled under the truck and banged on the block with a hammer when the truck was started?:-laf

I think he bange on the oil pan--that is how to make the most fear-inducing noise! Do you remember the Tulare show whn he locked the rent-a-cop out of the gate? How about the injector and turbo installations going until 3-4 AM?
