Hot Da*n! I'm in!

..... just can't decide on yellow or black!

I know this is pretty anal JR2 but...

is there any way possible to obtain a color sample of the yellow silicone hose? I wouldn't even mind paying for it.

TIA,

John

PS: what's does the florescent yellow look like?

Ouch.

Heck, I don't even think I can reach 29 psi boost, let alone sustain that!

Sorry John...

but I think JR2 shouldn't sell you any. Look at his sig. , too much d**n stuff already. ;) I think he needs to let the rest of us catch up before he adds more stuff to that truck. :D By the way, what's that truck worth nowdays? 50, 60, 70k?

Just having fun with ya

Nathan

Come on Nathan, I have to keep tricking out my Ram because you guys with newer Rams are breathing down my neck. :D

Besides, aesthetic and longevity reasons are why I'm interested (and not necessarily in that order).

Well I have never seen the yellow colors. The color samples I got did not include them. I will send an email to my contact and see what he has to say. Unfortunately he is out of town for a couple of weeks so it may be a while before he gets back to me.

Hate to burst your bubble but its barely even a week. I will get with my guy as soon as possible.

That was neon green you wanted right??:D

I spoke with the vendor before the weekend and the first set of hoses should be in my hand next week. I will be out of town for the week so install will have to wait for about 10 days. After I make sure they fit the trucks I will give you all the phone # and web address. The vendor also found some really nice hose clamps for us, I believe they are stainless steel. Acording to the vendor a few TDR members are using them and they work great.

That is all for now...

John - I did ask the vendor to send me a sample of both yellows again. We will see if they come with the first hose set.

not all clamps are created equal

FWIW;

I deal with silicone heater hose, silicone hump hose and wire reinforced silicone hose couplers, daily. Our vendors will only guarantee the installation with using constant torque clamps. We normally use Breeze® for the heater hoses and RG Ray® or Clampco® for the larger hoses. (Cummins supplies RG Ray in the charge air fittings kits, too. ) IMHO, RG Ray is better than Clampco.

I am headding home today from being gone for a week. Hopefully the first set of hoses will be there or arrive very shortly. I have to go to Cummins NW and get my new thermostat (on order) and I will do the swap. Assuming all goes welll it will be wide open ordering after that.

By the way. . the vendor is going to be adding Mikalor stainless steel hose clamps to the kit if you want em. Here is a pic of em:#ad

I understand that a couple of our big bombers are using these clamps alread and they hold real good.

Tell me about it... I am still waiting. If they don't get here soon (as in today) it will be at least two weeks before I can get them installed as I have to leave town for work for a couple of weeks.

JR2. . any update

one other question. . can those of us that have removed the hard hose from the front of the block back to the heator radiator get a longer hose to replace the hard one... . better said a single hose from the front location to the heater box location ???[it's about 3' long]. . as a length of hose or addition to the kit ?

Got an e-mail this am... ... still waiting was the answer.

Gary - I think I know what your taking about and I believe all you will need is a couple of feet of straight hose. I don't think this will be a problem.

John

Congratulations Gary, you get the very first set of Hot Pink hoses! :D

John, any word on the two yellow samples?
