Silicone Hose Information...

Well since you asked, yes there is good news and bad news. First the good news... . I have most of the first set of hoses in a box in my garage. They look great and the hose clamp kit looks even better.

The bad news is that I have to go out of town for a week starting tomorrow AM and I am missing a few pieces of the hose kit so I can not install them today.





The missing hoses and clamps were just an oversite when they where shipped and should be on there way soon. Assuming everything is here next week when I get home I will install them and take lots of pics and get any bugs worked out. I expect that by the first of Aug they will be on the market for all to buy.....



Just a word of caution, I am installing these hoses on a 2001 truck and that is all I know they will fit as that is what the hoses I bought at the dealer where for. I make no promises about what other years the hoses will fit... .



With that said once I get them on I will fill a gallery with pics and give you all the contact information..... Hang in there we are on the down hill side of this project.

Well guys I am still waiting for the two missing hose to arrive. So to hold you over I thought I would let you have a peek at some pics of the hoses and clamps that I have.

Just a note, the hoses kits do not include the clampsl. The clamps will be available as a kit to replace the stock ones. Once I have a price on them I will post it.

Fiche states that the first clamp pn is good until 4-6-01. After, it says use the other. They must have changed the clamps after 4-6-01. Wonder WHY?

Well guys things are looking up. According to the people who check my mail while I am out of town I got a box from the vendor. His email confirmed that the missing hoses and clamps are in the box. I will install the kit (weather permitting) during my vacation in the middle of Aug. Assuming all the hoses fit the vendor will realease the hose kits for sale at the end of Aug. We are getting close.

Actually no its probably not. I am currently at work and headded home tomorrow. I am leaving on a two week vacation to go fishing but taking my truck so inbetween fishing and the rest of the stuff I will install the kits and let the vendor know how they worked. I would guess that if the weather is okay I will install them on the 16th and let the vendor know how they are working out on Monday. After that it will be up to the vendor. .

Please excuse my ignorance on this subject. Why do they call them silicone hoses and what is the advantage besides looking real cool?
