Jannetty Racing Launches New Web Site

Anyone heavily fueling a hybrid?

I pulled the sps62 and put a sb66 on today...

turbo lights a couple hundred RPM later, but EGT's are down 150* or so...

at first I didn't like it, but after driving it around for a couple hours, I got used to the new powerband. I think we're gonna hit it with a little nitrous :D

I was planning on doing water/meth with the 62, and I still may... this thing will flow some serious exhaust, so I've got "room" for nitrous.

I want to do a small shot set on WOT + either a hobbs set at 1-2psi or a window... something that'll light the turbo quicker/sooner

and then come in with a 2nd stage at 40psi or so.

it's doing 46psi till about 3300? and will creep up a bit from there

I was running 48psi w/ the sps62... EGT's are climbing considerably slower... I haven't hit 1500* yet actually :D

Man, the more I drive this thing, the more I like it. I put another couple hours on it today. I tightened up the AFC a little, and while it's still smoking pretty good down low, it isn't that coal-train black from my dyno vids... more of a "dark charcoal" than jet black ;)

I did some 5th/6th gear gauge hawking, and boost goes like so:

10psi - 1600rpm

20psi - 1750ish

30psi - 1800ish

40psi - 1900ish

full tilt right at about 2000

it's a little more sluggish to come on like if I'm cruising along at 2300-2400 and nail it, it doesn't hit quite as quick as the 62, but it still hits hard, and once it lights, it feels like it's humpin' pretty good.

now I just gotta get a 5sp in this thing!

I'm curious how this turbo lights as compared to a Piers HX40? People have told me both ways... it lights quicker... it's a lot more sluggish.

the head helps I'm sure, a 24v would probably live with the 66 better than a stock 12v.

spools way later than an HX40! but cools a lot better :)

totally streetable for me, maybe not for someone who lives at 6000ft and pulls a big gooseneck all the time :)
