not trying to hi-jack, but I am getting a infamous Silver Bullet, and I am wondering if I need another coupler hose for my AFE stage 2. I want to have all the pieces together before it gets here, so I can slap it on ASAP. also, in the above picture, what is the electrical plug and what do you do with it when you install the new turbo? that is the electrical wastegate, correct?

sorry for all the questions fellas, thanks in advance

you will need a boost fooler to plug in there, i have one if you need it

I am in the market for a new turbo, I run a DD Jammer turbo, what advantages does the Silver Bullet offer over this turbo and others out there? What shaft size/ Is it one of those Ball bearing types? I also plan on a stage-1 cp-3 pump from somebody as well as a future upgrade.

well the silver bullet is definatly going to provide alot more air than the DD, the construction and materials are way better, the shaft size is the biggest on the market i belive and it has heavy duty bearings, the turbo will spool quicker as well. if you were to mate that turbo and the stage 1 cp3 you will have a permanent head print in your head rest. !!!! :-laf :-laf you can call me or pm if have any other questions or want pricing. thanks

I am really close to running the silver bullet in favor of the Dodgezilla. I may happen soon.

The turbo looks like a winner

I don't know that the SB and the dodgezilla are intended for the same application Bob. I talked to shane or brady about the SB a few weeks ago and it sounds like it lights quicker than a 66 but still has some issues with surge. :)

i dont know what you are refering to cause brady and brett have not told me they are expirencing surge with this turbo, ive had customers install it on stock to heavily modded trucks with no surge at all. i have not seen it and i think it spools close to stock as well :-laf

Actually the write up is either on the DTR or the Cumminsforum. Do a search for silver bullet and you will find it. A customer had inquired with them about the turbo and either Brett or Brady emailed him back and explained that it would surge more than a 66.

Hoever in my opinion, I feel it's something that can be somewhat expected, but can vary from truck to truck. Some people have had compressor surge on there trucks others have ran the same turbos and never had it. It comes fro a combination of a lot of little things.

why on earth would someone put a charger this large on a stock truck?

because they wanted to do the charger before the rest of the truck---you should know how some customers are, its our job to make them happy, i have a customer that put this on his daily driver and he works in DC and loves it. thats a lot of stop and go

I never had any surging with the SPS66 but I think that was due to mine been a manual transmission and I had a Cam. Now I have a bigger charger and still no surging must be the Bigger Cam!! ;) :-laf

You know I have this SB on my second gen and have NO surging issues. I have yet to see somewhere Brady posted about surge, other than him posting about the SPS66 on a second gen... ... ... he has posted that. I said it before and Brady keeps asking me how the turbo is doing on my truck, working like a dream I tell him everytime, later Jim

I see references to the Silver Bullet spooling faster than the SPS66, can someone who has one share their experience?

jwilliams, how did your SPS66 compare to the A5000 you are running now?
