SLED PULLER 2003 Opener:

FULL PULL.

TWICE.

How do you know when you have a full pull?

First time, the flagger gave up on the flag and just started shouting WHOA!WHOA! STOP! HOLD IT!

They made me pull again, at the end becuase the track was short, and a couple other trucks got close, and the flagger did stop me, not the sled.

The second pull, I made sure there was no doubt who won, as was echoed by the announcer, as my weights were nudging the hay bales!

That time, I had to wait for the sled to back up, so I could back up, to get off the track, as there was no more room in front!

It was nice to have some coaching, from the www.diesel-central.com peanut gallery, even though a highly trained proffesional like myself, did not need it. :D

BTW, all you guys around 400hp?, keep an out for the Chevy, he will stick it to you this year.

We also saw the return of CHEATER, sporting an F-350 PSD, retired the old nitrous equipped 5. 4.

BONUS:

Order your 2002 highlight tape, and I will throw in the 2003 opener, for FREE!

I knew I should have stayed for Sat. Then there would have been no doubt . Anyway nice job sleddy, how did you get video? they turned most of the lights off Fri night, we couldn't get any of our pics to turn out. :{

Andrew...

Don't let Ol Sleddy fool ya,can't you feel all the love he has for you,LOL. That is a good pic, but, rumor has it someone else has a better pic of the SPK's truck eating the hay bales with a caption saying its the only way he won,his truck was hungry. I have not seen it but am waiting for it to show,LOL.

I can only hope that the crew who towed him down there for the pull brought the plasma cutter he used to do his newest mods with to enlarge the door after winning so early in the season:D :D :D . Somehow I figure,Fuller-Bill K-"Hoppy"Thomas- and the rest will have their hands full this season. Gotta wonder if Sleddy is worried about Blackdog and his new setup and power from Thornville.

Ah,yes, trash talking season has opened with Gene's first win, rumors, rumors rumors. Muncy will be worth the trip and entertainment this year... ... ... Andy

Congrats and glad to see you finally tamed the sled which cost you waaay to many spiders last year... ... .

I know the only way I can beat Mitchells, Black Dog, Gresh or Scheids, etc, is by them having problems or making mistakes.

That is pretty basic, 500 hp trucks, just can't beat 1000 hp trucks, if both are running.

I am so concerned about non midwest power beating me, that I am not even changing my injection pump or turbos.

Old Sledpuller will do battle with the same lowly power, (lethal though it was to the westerners) it had last year.

Who kept saying 215 pumps were the only way to go?

180 pump, rock on!

Andy,

I have been looking for your email address. Havn't heard from ya in a while, and was starting to wonder how you were doing.

I think Muncie will be a ball this year also. Just wonder how Lee's Inn is prepairing for Gene's head issues should there be a repeat of last year. ;) I don't think the state of Indiana is big enough if he wins again. :-laf ;)

And as for my love for Sledy, go look at my siggy on the other site!
