got my sps 62/80 back from I I after a total overhaul. they set it up for a manual transmission. had a friend install it for me.

NOW my clutch is slipping! i told my dealer in january that i rhought that there was a problem with the clutch slipping. they said they couldnt get it to slip..... they wont have a problem now! put it in third and when the sps lights they will poop themselves. before anyone throws heat at me the truck has 29,000miles on it. i dont turn up my ramifier, and i dont beat on my truck. in fact it sits most of the time since i bought my 1993 w250. smoked the transmission but turned out a friend bought a 93 also to transplant the CTD into a chevy and he donated his transmission with 85,000 miles on it till i can get up to mass diesel(i havnt forgot about you scott!) so the mega cab usally sits alone in the garage!

i told the dealer it slipped when towing my 3 place enclosed snowmobile trailer. they couldnt get it to slip. i'm sure towing my boat(8500lbs dry) polished the clutch off down and back to florida. i kept thinking it was slipping but when your 1100miles from home i try to keep thoughts like that at bay...

since the first day i owned the truck it had a strange vibration in netural. i've complained about it but the dealer can never get it to vibrate!

what should i do? go get a clutch waranteed? or should i wait till the snow flies(get paid) and put in a south bend and be done with it?

with the little abuse the d m clutch pooped out at 29000 miles i can only imagine what happens when you guys throwing power at their G56 happens!

You changed injectors which increases torque output.

A beefier clutch is definitely in your future

It costs to play this game

Don't expect dodge to foot the bill.

besides who wants a stock clutch anyway

I have a used DMF sitting waiting for the scrap man. It only had 20,000 miles. Started slipping at 15,000. WHAT A P. O. S! I put a Southbend Con OFE with the 3400pp per Peter's recommendation. Love It!
The DMF is alot heavier (weight) than the new standard flywheel set-up. Engine spins up easier now. I am just running a Smartyjr

They aren't going to cover a slipping clutch anyway at 29,000 miles so you might as well call Peter.
