I just installed 307b (came with the unit) I used #5 and kept my VA 3. 1 on low power, yikes the smoke is thick enough to cut soot slices!! (TST is completely removed). One other thing the overhead mpg immediately started going up, it would be nice if that is indicitive of reality.



Did you leave the VA hookup when you uplaoded the VA or did you pulled off the ECM. WILL IT BE SAFE LEAVE HOOKED UP?
 
I too wonder if I need to unhook my EZ when downloading to the trucks ECM. I have unhooked the EZ every time though. But I couldn't imagine it would do anything to leave it hooked up. That's my uneducated guess.

I feel ya on that one, I have tried twice to download the SW and I just cant get it to work... .
 
The "UNKNOWN SOFTWARE : error in softwares 1. 05D and 4. 05D will be corrected early next week.

The one thing I noticed today is that the 4. 05D Wild program has a less touchy throttle than the 4. 05C program. This is good!



The other thing I noticed is that it seems like I am hitting red line a lot faster now in each gear with the 4. 05D. For example, I can only barely hit 45 psi of boost in 5th and 50+ psi of boost in 6th now, whereas before this software change I could easily hit 50+ lbs of boost in 5th and 6th. I think I just plainly run out of rpm now before full boost.

Am I running out of rpm too fast before the engine loads or is the Smarty cutting the fueling? Does this make sense? :confused:



This is only with Smarty on 30 HP timing + TST 4x0.
 
Lemme ask this, I noticed he has all new updates for Smarty. Is there anything "better" about them or should I stick with my version 4. 03 I think it is for my '06 that I loaded in Nov? Tell ya what, I'm really enjoying this thing even on level 1, and the added mpg is a big bonus! Also, I read for level 1 "no heavy towing", what is his version of heavy? The heaviest trailer I have is 6500 lbs.
