It doesn't appear to be from a performance perspective... . ????Notice it keeps the egt's very in check, cool down before shutoff is much faster,...



Anyone have an opinion on this question?
 
OK guys I am really getting ****** off. I have downloaded the smarty usb driver optimized for xp, I have the icon on the screen but when I follow the instructions to install the new hardware I get "error on smarty 0" FTD2XX. DLL not found. I have have tried everything I can think of to no avail. What the hell am I doing wrong.



I am ready to just put the TST back on because version 3. 07b sucks it seems like the throttle is compressed into half of what it was and about 3 times per 100mi. the throttle hangs on the 3 to 4 shift (right after the shift to 4 if I lift my foot the truck just keeps on truckin') so far I am not impressed. HELP!!!!
 
I must be doing something wrong, as I'm getting a "windows cannot open file" message. Knowing me, it's something stupid and simple, as I don't get along with computers very well.

When are you getting this message?
 
I got a missing shortcut window that is just searching for a .jpg. The computer is searching and then asks if I want to fix it, click same and it shows no image available on photo and Fax viewer. I seem to be missing the "smarty usb shortcut".
 
I'm not even getting a "found new hardware" msg when I plug it in, it dings, but nothing comes up as my hard drive crashed a few weeks ago and lost everythnig. Like I said, I know it's something stupid I'm missing, and as of now, I can see Bob Wagner running over and unplugging his phone... ... ... ... ... :-laf

i had the same thing happen to me when i tried downloading it. just install the new smarty downloader file from mads. then save it to your desktop when you click on it it will pull up the screen to send info to the smarty. from there click file go to the unzipped file you want on the smarty and double click that it will appear in the smarty screen as a file name. at that point click send then you should be off to the races.

On you desktop go to start menu then to my computer, right click to properties click tab hardware then click device manager you will see (( ! mark hight in yellow )) say update drivers use this stored in a file on you desktop CDM_2. 00. 00. zip from MAD TOOL FOR USB XP for SMARTY CLICK TO OPEN
 
I finally got it!! I had to download both the cdm2. 00 file AND the usb file, I had been trying one or the other. Thanks for the help guys!! NOw to go for a drive.
 
Do you get less smoke as you increase the torque managment?? i. e. does the stock torque managment give less smoke than the wild? I would guess yes. I realize this will sacrafice bottom end power but with sticks and pressure I wasn't unhappy with the bottom end before Smarty.
 
DTC CODE from Smarty

After I install my smarty I test drove my truck then check for code's got P0602 (checksum err) engine check light. Code set on three (3) different levels. My smarty is SA-06A, Please HELP will these harm my stealth from DC. Key count is ok. To: BOB WAGNER & Smarty Team

SMARTY leaves that code on all trucks that I have seen so far... It is no problem! The code is reset when you restore to the stock software (which should ALWAYS be done before going back to the dealership!) Once restored to stock software, since the code is reset, stealth mode is returned...



The reason to always go back to stock when you go to the dealer is that if they reflash your ECM for any updated DCX software, it will destroy the "relationship" between SMARTY and your VIN... SMARTY can be manually unlocked, BUT ONLY ONE TIME so you really don't want to take a chance on it.



Also, as far as I know, the "undetectable" part of SMARTY is only assured when you return the truck to the STOCK software...

Alright I have played with the "C group" of softwares (aftermarket injectors/stock turbo). The rattle is gone but egt gets out of hand quick. Is the stock injector timeing a problem with aftermarket sticks?? On 307. b the truck ran VERY low egt, and turbo cooldown was much quicker, but I noticed that coolant temps went up quicker.



I currently have 105c on the truck, level 1, I have a hard time believing it is "timeing only". It has more smoke and runs hotter than with the TST on 2/1 all else equal (V. A 3. 1 on low power), less power too according to my butt. Note: my TST is completely off the truck.



I am going to play with some other Smarty files, but as it stands I liked the TST with V. A better than Smarty with V. A.

Why aren't you using the Smarty / TST Combo, a lot of people here swear by that combo... .
