I just tried software 105D, to disable the wastegate on my 2006, and I still can't boost past mid to low 30's. I'm still running the stock turbo, just want more boost. Any ideas?
our stock turbo cant really handle any more that about 38-40 psi without coming apart. i have bounced mine off 50psi one time and now when my truck is cold i get this weird whining noise when letting off the throttle. but once warmed up its gone. all all started after the 50psi incident. kinda worried.
Marco, new pages look excellent and very self explainatory! Thank You!...
All, i'm at the airport heading to europe for xmas (of course, the day the downloads come out)... . if anyone tries the 2006, 2. 05b, Level 3 on a stock turbo (I know it's not "turbo safe"... hoping level 3 keeps it below 38psi) please PM me a report if you could... . dont want to wait 12 days to try it! Happy Holidays to all.
Marco - The d/l page looks great. Good job covering yourself with the disclaimer. I do have one question. With some of us being '03-'04, with no electronic wastegate it doesn't really matter what software we use, correct? And if so are twins would through everything out the window? Hope that makes sense.
what is the version Smt3EV309D405A. zip that is engine software updates?? says aftermarket clutch is needed. Is this wore wild that the aftermarket turbo and injectors version with a wild for the TM?
I'm d/l "Wild" now. Hope I picked the right one. I did aftermarket injectors and aftermarket turbo. But my '04 doesn't have the electronic waste gate. Even then, it's now "both" turbos.
We'll know in about 30 min how she does. I'm hoping for a real quick in the pants on the lower levels and then be able to run my TST a bit higher for the in-cab adjustability.
Well. It's done, but I get an error when trying to update the ECM. So I guess I choose the wrong SW. Going to re-download the upgraded injectors/stock turbo and see. Another 30 min and I should have another update. Hang tight.
i just put the aftermarket turbo and injectors program on my truck with wild TM and WOW. i will need new tires in no time. Spins thru 4th gear and clutch holds. prolly due to wet rodas. my truck has stock turbo and injectors.
Your new download section looks well organized and explained. I will try downloading tomorrow morning and i will let everybody know how the new programs work out. This is way better than any other christmas present i'll get on monday!!!!!!!!!! Happy Holidays to all
OK. Got the WILD loaded. I started with #5 and TST on 2/1. That's what netted me my 600rwhp. It's a bit cold out so the rattling/pinging was pretty bad and the truck was taking to long to warm up. So I loaded #4. Immediatly noticed a difference and the truck seemed to warm up a bit quicker. No biggy. Overall, all I can say is HOMERUN! Exactly what this truck needed. Spools the twins instantaneously. Flawless all the way throught the power band. Pins you in your seat. It's awesome. I'm actually suprised at how little smoke there is. Ever since I started throwing the EZ in the mix with the Smarty/TST stack it's cleared up the smoke. Fine by me.
I tried it again, and it said 'error, unknown software'. I re-downloaded the program from the Mads Electronics website, re-unzipped it, and still no dice
