Wade, I was talking about the anti rattle {less timing} programs.

Since the new release of softwares more testing will be needed .

I want the first version software brought back to life #ad

Yeah Bob, me too. This last update is better than the others but I think not as strong as the original on the top end. The go pedal is not as touchy either. Will Marco resurect the original?#ad

I tried the #5 Wild, went around the block, and am reloading the #5 Mild. A lot of smoke even on moderate throttle. Also worried about the transmission even though I have a Goerends VB going in.

I am impressed with how the wild power comes on. Really sensitive to the touch, although I never drove the "first version" software Bob is talking about.

I just got home from driving with the newest update, 309d 305a which is the moderate one and on sw 3 and 5. I liked how it performed as compared to the previous 309d update. The power seemed to be their, no timing rattle at idle, egts seemed to be the same as compared to the 307d programs, the trans shifted good and the smoke was back. Also the throttle wasn't quite as touchy as the 307d program which i like. I am pretty happy with this program overall. One issue that needs to be adressed with these last 2 309d updates is it turns on the brake and abs lights after an update, i mean i can clear the codes and they go away but thats not right. Keep up the good work marco.

Would the 30 horse software with the wild program hurt a stock trans with easy driving habits.

no you should be fine. your transmission should hole up to about level 4 i would say without any problems. then again im a 6 spd guy so correct me if im worng TDR members.

If you drive the truck easy, it would probably hold up but if you romp on it you could damage it because it puts the fuel on so hard so fast. I drive around with the moderate on 60 horse and i'm worried if i get on it hard i'll smoke my trans with that program, so.

Remember that the Wild program has all the torque management removed (at least thats what Bob Wagner told me over the phone, if I heard him right?). So the answer to your question is YES it can/will hurt the transmission if you romp on it.

Those with 05's and 48re's how is the shifting with the new program. Marco improved the 1-2 shift quite a bit. Does the new version still retain the improved shifting?

Well I have been playing with the wild version... i must say it is leaps and bounds better than the other two versions i have tried (3. 07 and 3. 09) my transmission shifts great with it, with the exeception of a few occasional 2-3-2-3 shifts... not really sure why it is doing that but it only does it during certain situations and is fairly easy to avoid.

I guess the only difference I can see is I am not able to break my tires loose from a stop with the wild on #9, with 3. 07 moderate on #9 i could break my tires loose simply my putting the go pedal to the floor, now on wild it takes off like a rocket and i am fairly certain it is faster, but the tires never break loose, which is kinda wierd considering no TM???

Jake,

Just do it. Get it over with so that you can upgrade the transmission and then really tear up Glamis.

Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays everyone !!

Santa brought me a Smarty Oo. !!

Do have one question though. By the way my truck has a Fass 95 and an EZ and gauges. My question has to do with software. My Smarty came with the 307b software. From what I have been reading I think this is one everyone has been happy with.

Do I need to upgrade right away or should I load the 307b to the ECM ??

TIA

Jeff

i have an '06 and love the latest wild program update. it reminds me the most of the BDDL, but better. only thing i am curious about is when in o/d off, the converter should lock up at+-40mph, and mine does, but as soon as i ease off the throttle, it unlocks again. This happens when the speed is still over 40 and up to 50 or 60. if i give it gas again then it accelerates for a second, and re locks up. it has never done this before. just was wondering if anybody else was experiencing this and maybe Bob or Marco could chime in as to what would be causing this.

I get '203 252 33AK'

error, unknown software

hope this helps,

thanks Bob

Add me to the list with software issues. I downloaded the V:3. 09 2D: 4. 05 Wild software. When I connect to the truck and attempt to update the software, I get the "ERROR UNKOWN SOFTWARE" message

I guess I will need to go back to the previous tune. Also, not to mention I have tried over and over to get an answer about this one issue, but it has been ignored over a couple different PM's. When I dyno tuned before our recent event I tried the Smarty/TST stack and lost power as soon as I turned the TST on.

Even when the Smarty was on level 8 which is supposedly "no timing" and the TST on level 1-1 which is supposedly "timing only". In theory it should have worked fine, but it didn't. When I ran the two I lost a ton of HP. According to the advertisers the Smarty should have been controlling everything on level 8 and the TST should have been doing the timing only. I also have had one or two other members contact me with the same issue. I haven't ran my TST box for over 2 months as a result of it.

I downloaded Smt3EV309D305D. zip, the program with moderate torque management, with success, but I would really like to try the 'wild tq management'.

so lmills, you put down 730 hp with only a Smarty?

the 730 was without the TST. I have never been able to get the smarty/tst stack to work together on anything over level 7 on the Smarty. However I did use an SP Diesel SIIE pressure box.

Me too!

1) I reprogrammed truck to stock (just in case)

2) downloaded 309D405D to Smarty - WILD for modded injectors and modded turbos

3) download successful to Smarty

4) plug into truck, key off, key on etc. then get ERROR UNKOWN SOFTWARE

I'm not going to mess around with trying the moderate programming :-laf . I'll patiently wait for the WILD!!!

EDIT: also notice that the stock to moderate softwares are 14,881 KB, but all the wild softwares are 14,858 KB - I wonder if some data is missing?

Well I followed TDR member's Jeff K's advice and loaded the WILD software for aftermarket injectors, stock turbo:

Smarty S-04A Ver. 3. 09B, Data: 4. 05C

:--) It's almost like the original Smarty with a hair less throttle touchiness and a little bit less smoke and no rattle. From a stop I can let out the clutch fully and then give a bit of throttle and the tires start chirping. It never did this before the Smarty or with the revised Smarty programs unless I was over 2,000 rpm. Me like a lot :D !!!

And yes this was only on #1 30 HP with timing and TST 1x0 (3* auto).

I'll have to give it a try. Especially since I already have a box that does boost fooling. :D

Sorry to be off topic but I read the install procedures from the Mad website and I am little confused, does does the TST and/or the V. A box need to be removed to install??
