2nd, is it ok to run a smarty jr with DDP 50hp nozzles? Thanks!

People have good results with 50hp injectors and the JR. They are on my wish list. You can retard the timing a little if you like with the revo options.
Ok, just trying to learn here, but why would you want to retard the timing with 50hp injectors? They are on my wish list also.
I don't why you would retard your timing... ..... but I do know that if your rig has less than 20k miles on it you can send your stock tips to DDP and they will hone them for $50 each.

The OP originally asked about the Smarty Jr changing shift points. That answer is no but I can attest to this. Mine is a '03. 5 with the 48RE and I was very disappointed with the shifting. Particularly with the 3 to OD/converter lock-up sequence. The transmission seemed very indecisive. I installed a VA C3. 1 and the shifts improved. I then moved up to the Smarty Jr and am now very happy with my shifts. Why is that when in 03. 5 trucks the transmission PCM was a standalone? I've posted this question with no replys so my only conclusion is the the Smarty Jr moved the power band enough to make the PCM more decisive in it's shift logic. Chime in if I am out to lunch but my 48RE shifts 100% better with the Smarty Jr installed. BTW, I uploaded the Tow program and have not looked back. The truck pulls it's GCW of 17,080 up grades like nobodies business and the EGTs are well under control. For what it is worth, my. 02
