Smarty or TST--Concerns, Which one to get
I have read many threads on both the smarty and tst. I am debating to get a smarty or a tst, i am leaning toward the smarty though. I have an 05 cummins 325/610, automatic transmission, straight pipe, torque tube, guages.
Some concerns i have about smarty are it seems like, what i have read at least is, it sounds like it's not very driveable as a daily driver, even on the lower setting because it produces so much torque down low and right when you give her some throttle. Is this true? All i am really looking for is a slight power and MPG increase that is non detectable by the dealer and that won't launch my transmission, oh and also some smoke. I like the smarty because it is a reprogrammer and not an add on box, and is alot easier to remove if i take it in to the dealer, it's cheaper too. What MPG increase can i expect on the lower settings?
The TST seems like it is very adjustable and would be easier as a daily driver, Is this true? Is it detectable by the dealer if you remove everything? What MPG increase can i expect? I don't like tst because it's an add on box, i feel that these are somewhat unreliable long term.
Any input would be helpful.
