Sounds like we will still have the "1/4 pedal full fuel" issue? Bigger injectors make the smarty almost useless. We need stock fueling to start, then as boost rises, more fuel and timing.

Thank you for the offer Bob, BUT... .....

None of this will help with what I would like. All those are added features I do not want or care about, when what is really needed is a focus on the trouble issues. My #1 main want is a program that will give me back the use of my cruise control without the excessive surgeing that I have no control over, and also a way to desensitize the auto transmission shifting which I can control with driving habit for now.

Creature features are nice, BUT, I AGREE HERE!!!! I WANT MY CRUISE BACK!!!

Do you guys have a restrictor in the vacuum line going to the cruise? That took care of my cruise. Just a little turn valve that is cracked open a hair. Works great.

Just to clarify the cruise surging. The Smarty did not cause this issue it was the bigger injectors that caused this on my rig anyways,"I have heard or read of stock trucks surging also" I can not comment on this as I already had bigger injectors when the smarty came along. I had 90 hp injectors in and the cruise was useable with just a slight surge. Now with 155 hp injectors it made the cruise pretty much useless but with the smarty it enhanced it with how touchy the throttle already is with smarty loaded. Either way My cruise is not usable now.



As far as transmission hunting for gears under light throttle shifts this is a 100% smarty issue. It goes away with smarty unloaded. I just found where my TV cable adjustment helped this a lot along with driving habit.



In a sentence I and others would just like to have it "Desensitized".



I have sept 27 through oct 6 off to reroof my house if that works. I then will be off again oct 12-oct 18.

I could use my cruise when i ran a stage2 modified injector pump. Just a restrictor in the vacuum line. No surge about it. Never had problems hunting for gears either.

I have the line reduced with a spray can straw inside the vacuum line and that did absolutely nothing to help so I tried to pinch it down after that more with out pinching it closed and it still did no good. Fiqured this was a good enough test without buying something that may or may not have worked.

Cruise+Smarty=no problem.

I guess I was one of the lucky ones with the cruise issue. Upon installation of DDII's,I had the surging cruise issue for maybe 1,000 miles. One day it just dissappeared to my relief with no personal input. Smarty install left the cruise unaffected. Hope you guys and Marco get this figured out as it was irritating. P. S. I'm referring to my old '99.

I am a idiot when it comes to these computers. Can anyone tell me why the new hardware wizard doesn't come up when I plug in smarty? I've never downloaded any programs before & i'm lost.

Not much help, but all I can do for you.



I have updated my Smarty once before. Just now I did not get the "new hardware wizard" either, just the box with the big SEND button. Click on file to select the file you want to download.



You also have to download the 7Zip program to convert the file xxx. 7z file to a xxx. smt before the Smarty downloader will work.



Your PC probably just hates you... .

I want a software that will download all the software/options out there and let me pick and choose what 9 to put into the programmer. For example I want all these one one load:
