smarty tnt popping

just installed a raptor 150 pump on an 03 with a smarty tnt. It was running out of fuel, thought i had it fixed, but it still pops in 2nd and 3rd gear. Tried all timing and torque mgmt settings. tm1 and timing4 rp default greatly reduced popping but it is still present. The truck is otherwise stock-changed filters and drilled 4" hole in airbox. going to rig up my commander on this truck in the next few days to see what rail psi is. I had a similar problem on my truck with smarty revo but changing timing from economy to 2 fixed the problem

The TNT software does this on our 03/04 trucks, I have the best results running the even # sw's, tm 2, timing 3, rp 1.



I can run up to sw#6 with fairly good results, as long as I roll into it, otherwise it pops and bucks. I have heard rumors that a fix is in the works, but just rumors, nothing from Bob or Marco.



Most 03/04 owners have went back to one of the betas, 4. 2, 4. 3, or 4. 4, I have better luck with the 411 software... . a bit less hp than the 4. 2, but not as smokey and certainly not as hot(egts).

it certainly does. I got my smarty when they first came out so its habit for me to only try odd sw's. This truck will also behave if you roll into it. thanks for the help

Hey guys, what do you mean 'pops and bucks'? I too can ease into mine. But at WOT, after it downshifts, it has a hard 'slip' for a lack of a better word. It reminds me of the tires slipping, then grabbing hard, slipping, then grabbing hard.

Bob will email you the beta's, you have to call him and ask. As far as the 411, not sure if Bob is willing to give that up? I have that, but it is the S-O4 version, if you go there. you may not be able to go back.

, yes, drove it in the mud boggs last night, ran a 4. 2 across the pit 3rd gear 4hi wanted to try 4th, but still a little gun shy from breaking and wasnt really wanting to have to rebuild the clutch
