I need a '93 T'stat housing...

PSD starting problems

Picture this. Narrow residential street, 2 Bipeds with lots of gold chains, walk like chickens and wear their hats sidways are walking in the street in such a way that no car can pass without going into the other lane which has some oncoming traffic so they are holding up things and LTAO think this is great fun. Thank you Dodge for exhaust pipe exit on right side, just couldnt help it, as I pulled along side them at 15mph I went to 4th gear a floored it and would you believe a very gratifying cloud of very black smoke hid them from view (hey urban camo)as the cars behind me came through the cloud several folks were laughing a lot. Dont you just love Diesels.

it's also fun to catch them in their "FOOMP FOOMP" jukebox-on-wheels and load the open window... 1,000,000 laughs! Love that star-wheel #ad
(stock 4x4 puts exhaust exactly at the right height for a Japanese low-rider). . makes me wonder if somebody in Detroit designed that on purpose #ad

My first diesel was a '64 Dodge with a 4cyl Perkins. I called the rig "Double Ugly" since it was a Frankendiesel if ever there was! The Perkins came from a tractor- NO GLOW PLUGS. A deft toe on a down hill could cause a contrail Jimmy Jet would be proud of. Puffed pretty good on up-shifts too!Probably my favorite ride ever!

Well I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who loves this,,Round here the rollin' jukeboxes are rampant as are the bottle fed Furd 5. 0 Stangs,,Picture this,A young ,trying to impress his lady, hat on backwards, 5. 0 puke, with the aftermarket mufflers and NOS purge laughing at the old man and his SLOW diesel next to him,,A few raps of the mufflerless pipe to interest him(while he's trying to show off, with the windows down, for his squeeze),,Lights on the other side trip green to yellow, and WHACK goes the big juice pedal on the almighty Cummins and wouldn't you know it he's left sitting dazed, confused and in a LARGE cloud of smoke,,At the next light he's not a happy camper and wants revenge,so,I of course am a player from way back oblige, and while his non-hooking stang spins I wipe him out again and REALLY swat him with all the BIG JUICE PEDAL smoke,,Next light he promptly tells me I'm # 1 and I smile and agree, then he turns off disgruntled to say the least,,Gotta love these trucks!!!!!!!!!!!!! #ad

I have found that bicycle riders holding up traffic also thouroughly enjoy the smell of real thick diesel smoke #ad
Funny how I always make the same mistake of passing them in 4th or 5th @ 15mph. #ad

I Think bicycles should be required to pay licence fees to use the road. They should also be ticketed for impeding traffic just like a car would be.

Totally agree Larry. They aren't licensed, don't pay property tax and aren't required to have insurance in case they scratch you sneaking between the traffic and curb while stopped at light. Did get a laugh the other day. Stopped at light in granny lane, happened to look in mirrow and see one coming between cars. Wait till he gets about to back and then opened door. Dumb b-----d wound up in street all scratched up.

I may not be much, but I'm all I think about.

95 that is lightly used. Dressed out nicely with 19. 5 wheels from Rickson Truck.

Last year on vacation we were sitting at a stop light when I look in the mirror and lo and behold, there's some lady in a rice burner car. You know the type, probably belongs to "EARTH FIRST" and doesn't shave her legs. She's got her window down and is sneering, literaly SNEERING at my truck. Well, I had the old 33' travel trailer on behind and you know what happened when the light turned green #ad
It looked like she was riding in Cheech and Chong's car! If she wouldn't have had her window down it would have blown the POS over on it's side. #ad

I got the bicycle problem but they ride two abreast on the busy county roads and hold up traffic. Gotta love that TC lock button!

The wife hates it when I do a smoke job on the tailgaiter or whoever. She just says, "KIDS". With the #11 plate slid forward to 340hp, stock AFC spring & stock turbo, the smoke was great with low rpm & foot to the floor. #ad
The HX40-16 took that away. #ad
Not for long. #ad

Bypass the #10, 330hp plate & go one more step up in fuel to the #8 & slide it forward. Ah, more fuel to mix with the added air = wonderous low end smoke with full throttle. Hello tailgiters. #ad

I feel like a little kid replying to this but it is sooo fun. Was in Telluride Co last year and long haired highway worker flagman got a kick holding up traffic for a frontloader that wasnt even near the highway. We waited aprox. 5 minutes to use the clear road. Poor guy didnt see it coming until he couldnt see anything at all. Had that star wheel turned way to far. There were four of us in my dodge. What a hoot! Wow do I feel like a kid.

Thanks Brian,
As a cyclist, I get extremely PO'd when someone buzzes me. By law I am allowed to take the lane the same as a car. However, I recognize that I am not a car and stay over to the side except when I'm making a left turn. Some guys are still not happy. They better not slow down.
Some guy sent his dog after me one day. He did all he could to call him back when he saw I was ready. The dog's probably healed by now.
I have a good friend who was cut off (maliciously) by a woman in a new Jag, not once, but three times. She ran him off the road the first time and tried two more times. He caught her at a light and he virtually collapsed the rear door skin with his heel.
Another friend was riding on the shoulder when a pickup tried to buzz him. Broke my friend's femur and threw him in a ditch. Fortunately, there were witnesses.

I've been on both sides of this equation. I remember coming up on two cyclists who insisted on taking up the entire lane riding side by side and couldn't care less about vehicles behind them. #ad
Ticked me off something good but not much I could do except wait until I could safely pass.

OTOH, I used to ride my bike back and forth to work regularly. There was a twit who drove a full size van and took great delight in seeing how close he could come to me when passing (I was all the way off to the side but still on the pavement). Then he would drop off onto the berm and see how much dust he could raise. #ad
I thought about carrying my . 357 and shooting out his tires when he pulled that trick but never did.

The point is, there are a**holes on both sides that spoil it for everyone else.

Smoke outs should be reserved for those with no regard for others, its a fairly harmless payback. On the other hand to smoke someone with out cause is rather mean and small minded and does the Diesel truck crowd a lot of harm that doesnt need to be done. Please only smoke buttheads not regular folks.

I agree there are butheads on both sides if this coin. All said and done, I can't see why anyone on a bicycle would allow a total stranger driving a leathel weapon to fly up behind them while looking the other way, and then expect people to respect them. You don't see too many people walking down the road, inside the fog line, looking the other way and trusting all drivers with their life. I have no respect for bicycle road riders intelect just like I would think a skateboarder doing the same thing was a total idiot. Bicycles do not belong on the road, period. Just like kids skateboarding, rollerskating and razor scootering. Find a place to do your hobby thats safe and doesn't impose on the people who pay the bills. Bicycles are for OFF-ROAD only.

LarryB you night want to take a look at your states vehicle code. At least in CA bicycles have as much right to the road as your truck. I might add that bicycles are also subject to moving violations - I know several people who have received them. I guess somebody thinks that bicycles belong on the road. For a lot of people it's not a hobby but a viable means of transportation - look at SF, NYC, Boston, any european city... . Somewhere in Europe if a collision occurs between a bicycle & a motor vehicle it is the drivers, not the riders, fault - period. With fuel prices going up, up & away you will probably see a lot more bicycles on the road.

You do have a valid point - there are plenty of idiots on bicycles that think just because the vehicle code says I can then it must be safe - not true.

Get over yourself & give a bicyclist a brake (note spelling). Let me guess - motorcycles don't belong on the street either.

Brian
