Or it was more of a pop. Output shaft let go on my truck when I was racing a Supra at the 1/8th mile drag strip The person with me said it was around 1600rpm..... and 25psi of boost (I was ready to roll against the supra)



Oh well, been waiting for this to happen. Guess it was my time. Moral of the story - over 20psi and things break. The shaft is a cryoed output shaft, and this is the first one I broke, but I had always kept it under 20psi before.

No not yet, I have a couple of options to look at tho, it all depends on downtime and cost right at the moment. Sounds like it might be a good part to have a spare of now

Did it break while you were standing on the brakes building boost? or ater you started moving?

was extremely close to letting off the brake to take off. So at the time I was holding the brakes and building boost, built a lil too much it seems.
