There have been lots of posts about MPG loaded and unloaded.

Well, when unloaded how heavy is your truck.

Mine is 9300 lbs with one person (me) on board.

I have 2 tool boxes, 5th wheel hitch, goose-neck, 5 bumper plus all the needed things to live in the truck for weeks at a time like heaters, porta potties, tools, bedding, TV, VCR, satellite antenna CB and more.

at 9300 lbs at 65 MPH I get about 17 MPG!

So how much does your truck weigh?

Bob

7480 with me, full tank of fuel, tool box (mostly empty), 5er hitch, and a few things under the back seat. Also have a Line-X bedliner (40 lbs), & nerf bars.

Mine weighs 6820 lbs. With me in it add another 210 lbs ;) My 2000 3500 4x4 quad cab automatic weighed 7380 lbs. Both were weighed full of fuel and nothing in them. So that means that a quad cab 3500 4x4 weighs 560 more pounds than a regular cab 3500 4x4. Since my current truck has a 6 speed that I am sure weighs more than the automatic, in my 2000 that weight difference is I bet more than 650 lbs if you compared 3500's with the same transmissions. Sorry I got carried away :)

#8500 normally loaded #8225 as unloaded as it get for me and I get a fabulous 16. 5 mpg consistent daily driving. Long Trips is better.

11K pounds.......

It'll never be completely unloaded till it's reached the end of it's useful life. Hopefully another 8 years. Only got 35K miles on it so far. Between the weight and the huge wind dam created by the bed I get a whopping 12 MPG.

I was 6800 at the track with me, toolbox, full fuel, and stuff in both cab and toolbox. Loaded for my truck usually means girlfriend, our luggage, and towing the parents tagalong @8,000-lbs. and 70mph. This usually nets me about 15mpg, unloaded I get average 16mpg per tank, so I fill up every 500 miles.

According to the old manual do it yourself type scale at the Sacramento drag strip, with ~1/4 tank of fuel, and me NOT in it, 7370. Now that I've added my lumber rack, I'd guess it's gotta be about 7500 without me, and 7750 with me in it. Oh, and if I fill my TransferFlow 54 gallon tank, then I'd guess it goes up to about 8050 with me in it.

Ooops, forgot the new Denver Off Road bumper. So add another 130 #'s to the above weights.
